Instead of seperate news articles? Quite a bit of scrolling for those of us who don't care 😉 .

It's a bit too early for an in depth article. These were most likely posted as the details were announced.
It happens at pretty much every conference.
...
Well, major announcements are. But they always do seperate parts for the in depth articles that are updated daily.
And I suppose you're right; a text only In Depth article wouldn't be warrranted.

Those conference ones are done at things like the mobile world conference and the like. When a company like apple (or google now) holds a conference, everyone does these mini updates. Part of it is because each thing can foster it's own discussion, but a big part (I'm thinking) is that apple news sells, so the more of it there is, the more people view the site.
...
Of course, I'm just grumpy because of all the Apple news, while I'm sure everyone else is freaking out.
But I don't think Phone Scooop has to worry about page views. It would be very surprising to find someone who has researched mobile anything that has never visited. Then again, we're talking about Apple's fanbase 😉 .

a lot of consumers don't know anything about this site. I do what I can to let people know about it (I consider it a better resource than carrier sites if you want detailed info about a device.
Multiple news story's about things people tweet about=more tweets, trackbacks, etc=higher rank in google search results
...
What makes it interesting is that all of these news articles are linked to ggdt and Engadget. So think about how much they're driving over there. Assuming people actually like to read the full articles 😉.

Speaking of Google, and conferences, last night I was listening to the Android Central podcast, and they mentioned that the Google I/O conference is next month. And that perhaps FroYo will be announced (FrozenYogurt). Should be interesting.

it should be. I'm hoping that they'll start breaking off pieces of their OS (browser, etc) so it can be downloaded instead of having to force the whole thing through carrier approval process (though I want that to go away too)
I think we'll see more eye candy updates, more corporate support, and (hopefully) tighter integration with some of the newer google services (gdocs, google wave)
...
What exactly is Google Wave?
And on Engadget I did read an article that said Google is going to start addressing the fragmentation issure by providing updates through the market, do you recall seeing that?
...
MennoApr 8, 2010, 7:20 PM
yeah, I saw that.
Google wave is REALLY hard to explain.
go to wave.google.com there is a link to a LONG video (over an hour) explaining it
...
Woah, an hr! Umm, I'll check it out later.

Those 2 posts where you were spewing off a bunch of sh*t about the Backflip, I sent those 2 links to both my mother, and sister, and said for them to consider to these words my words, and that this is the reasoning behind me leaving ATT. So they'll know how much control there is in the industry.
Btw, is there a difference between an Android smartphone that is "Google Experience" & "With Google"? They seem kinda the same.
I was reading the specs of the HTC Incredible over on Android Central's website, and it mentioned that it's a "Google Experience" smartphone. The Incredible is indeed a very well specced device!!! Even has wifi N!!! But no slideout keyboard, so not for me.
...

those two things are basically the same as far as I can tell.
There are three different "levels" of android phone
-Android device- A phone that runs some version of the android OS, this is it's only qualifier. These devices can be stock android or have a custom UI
-With google/google experience device- a phone was designed with some input from Google (either entirely, like the droid, or partially, like a sense device) that has full access to all google services and places no limitations on the os. These devices can be stock android or have a custom UI.
-Google Phone- At the moment, only the N1 qualifies. This is a device made by Google, and managed through them. These are the "dev" phones that upgrades are created for first...

Yeah, in the long term, I'm going to stick with "With Google"/"Google Experience" smartphones. I prefer stock over custom UI.
I wish our Droid's had the 3D app drawer though, that's pretty damn cool!
...

it is, but it messes up with the droid because of the physical keypad. It's not made to work in landscape mode so whenever someone tried installing it, it would completely bug out.
I use helixlauncher (NOT helixlauncher2.. this will wig out your device) and it gives me the grid key at the bottom, the "pages" view, and while not a 3g app drawer, does make the app drawer pretty fast
...
I read the reviews of the Helix Launcher 2 in the market, they don't seem to be good reviews, some even mentioned the Droid specifically. So I passed on d/l it.
Reguardless of having the slideout keyboard, all apps should be made to work in both landscape & portrait. Often times I like to read webpages in landscape mode even w/o the keyboard open.
Have you d/l the Google Listen app? Do you listen to podcasts at all?

Dude, I've got great news! Screw this sharing a bathroom with !!6!! people stuff! I came across this girl @ 7-11 near where I work, and she's lonely, and well as maybe you can tell, I am too, and she understands and respects my goal of paying off my credit card, and so I'll only be paying her $125/mo.
And it's in Henderson, which is so, so different than Vegas!!! It's just a different environment, so hopefully that'll be better for me not being around Vegas on a daily basis. I'm very anti vegas, it's just too diferent from Connecticut.

Did you check out that Logcat Live Wallpaper? It's so cool!!! The adndroid code streams right on your homescreen!!!
