Won't Change Anything

It's still a Storm and even after all the leaked firmware updates, this one included, the device is a failure.

The screen click is totally lame (and gets worse over time) , the processor is grossly underpowered, and overall user interface is not suitable for a touch screen device.

I had one since November 2008 and it is the absolute worst cell phone or BlackBerry I've ever purchased. The rubber sides creak because they have gotten loose, the accelerometer gets stuck all the time (any firmware version), and the noise reduction makes the phone sound so bad people think I'm on a crummy old wireless telephone (Bluetooth is the answer to that issue). There is nothing worse than waiting for this thing to react to touch input and respond-- it...

Most of the world apparently disagrees with you though. It's the #3 ranking smartphone in terms of sales.

Several issues you complained about are warranty items that would get you a free replacement anyway

Most people just want to complain. They think the warranty is for when they drop their phones. They do not use it for its purpose.

So MegaBit Please just get your phone replaced and QUIT COMPLAINING about issues that have been addressed or are in the process of being addressed. You are the one that ran right out and bought it when it was new. Myself....i will wait a while. People had bad experiences when they bought the very first iphones.....it happens with alot of devices when they come out brand new....Get over it!!! 😳

I respectfully disagree about the issues I have falling under a warranty. They are, in fact, the baseline design of the hardware and software-- not defects that affect this unit alone.

The user interface is truly a hodge-podge of a trackball interface and pseudo-touch interface. Many normal things like selections and data entry are just not written for a finger touching the display, but are fine for a keypad, which it was developed for. If you have not used one for at least a week then you don't know what I'm taking about.

It would be good reading for you to have a look at the reviews written by more than 700 users on Verizon's web site. You'll see a common theme in many of the reviews and those are written by people that have the Sto...

Verizon may give u a hard time upgrading early, u could always sell your phone on eBay/craigslist for a cool $400-$500.

Hope that will make the trading in easier =)

Creaking rubber sides and a stuck accelerometer on any software version you have tried are hardware related problems. As you upgraded through the different leaked OS's you should have noticed a dramatic change in your accelerometers behavior from version to version.

Sounds like you have a good case for a warranty replacement

They do, stores called "Exchange Policies" and RIM calls it "1-Year Warranty" if you quit complaining and start reading.

The phone has changed so much since November.

Have you even seen one with the .75 software? (it does help the accelerometer) This leaked software is on my manager's machine. It makes it work great.

-improved responsiveness
-better battery life
-something about the keyboard... not sure what, but he was raving about it a few days ago
