Looks like a RAZR with Motorola. Or so it seems to me. I mean by all means I like the way it looks I am just saying. The plus would be if it a RAZR with some extras, You/I wouldn't have to worry about dropping it and it shattering into pieces.

It's meant to be a RAZR-like phone. I assume they were trying to take something they've worked with before, and slap the new direct connect on it. It would probably be in there best interest to start with a phone that has already been on the network and work from there. It does look reasonably thicker than a standard RAZR, so hopefully it has a larger battery on it. I would venture to guess that we will see at least a few other higher end phones by the time the direct connect is implemented. Would be nice to see a Mogul or Pearl with a D/C addon 🤤

well like a cross between razr 2 and original razr. there is outside controls to the music player/ also take a closer look at the pictures, it does look significantly ruggidized over a standard razr

Its like the Brady Bunch movie where everything building Mr Brady designs look just like his own house.

I think this phone is awsome. I think moto didnt put too much into the design because they are not sure how well it will sell. I think its just nice to finally see a Nextel direct connect phone that doesn't look like it could be two years old. It may not be the newest trend setting design but at least it looks current and up to date.

I'm trying to think of an OEM out there that doesn't have a consistent design language. That includes home appliances, automobiles, airplanes, coffee mugs, game consoles, etc.

I don't hear you screaming at Range Rover, Volkswagen, Lexus or the like to change their design language.

How is it that having a design language that is popular is a bad thing?

The RAZR has shipped over 100mil units world wide. Every company out there makes a thin flip - why is it wrong for MOTO to stick with their design language?

For me, it's more of a crime to see all the knock offs than it is the original.

Now that, I can agree with. Although some other thin phones have a better operating system, the RAZR started it all.
