FCC Outs Moto With CDMA Direct Connect

The FCC recently approved the unannounced Motorola V950, the company's first phone to support Sprint's forthcoming CDMA Direct Connect push-to-talk technology. The high-end clamshell phone sports EVDO Rev. A data, camera with flash, Bluetooth, microSD memory card slot, and large external display with music controls.

Everything looks the same..

Looks like a RAZR with Motorola. Or so it seems to me. I mean by all means I like the way it looks I am just saying. The plus would be if it a RAZR with some extras, You/I wouldn't have to worry about dropping it and it shattering into pieces.
It's meant to be a RAZR-like phone. I assume they were trying to take something they've worked with before, and slap the new direct connect on it. It would probably be in there best interest to start with a phone that has already been on the network a...
well like a cross between razr 2 and original razr. there is outside controls to the music player/ also take a closer look at the pictures, it does look significantly ruggidized over a standard razr
Its like the Brady Bunch movie where everything building Mr Brady designs look just like his own house.
Time to try something new Moto.
I'm trying to think of an OEM out there that doesn't have a consistent design language. That includes home appliances, automobiles, airplanes, coffee mugs, game consoles, etc.

Qchat + Rev.A

For those whining about the phones 'look-a-like' status.... This phone is number 1, Rev.A aka FAST. Its going to support the FASTEST data on all handhelds with the exception of the Mogul. Secondly, it supports Qchat, which is the new Nextel DirectConnect. This phone is going to be groundbreaking. Yes it might just be a ruggedized Razr, but its internals are brand new. Dont doubt for one second how great this phone will be, its supercharged...
I can't wait to sell this phone. If this will be the first Qchat phone then this one will make a long lasting impression on customers whether that'll be good or bad. It's really too early to say that this phone will suck but rest assured Sprint wouldn...

I know this is the question that everyone wants to know. Does anyone know the time frame, whether it be Christmas, summer, right before summer?

😁 This phone is great and the only choice for Direct Connect. Sprint is also launching a Blackberry CDMA Direct Connect phone!! Sprint is the best provider for everything. SIMPLY EVERYTHING $99 WOW!
