FCC Discloses the Sanyo Katana LX
Isn't Sanyo better than this?
I'd like a Katana PDA...my Katana II is sweet minus not having Powervision. I think the DLX is really retarded looking. But I might upgrade to it.
I love Sanyo phones, but ever since Kyrocera bought em out, I might have to find love for another brand.....RIM?
I suppose it could be integrated into the design in some unique way, but the "3800" model number (as opposed to 6650 for the Katana II) does seem to position it as a very low-end model.
I wish the body design of the current Katana II was powervision enabled.

yeah. weird. As if "free" isn't good enough. ... Why come out with a worse phone. Doesn't make sense.
It makes complete sense. Free to the consumer doesn't mean free to Sprint.
If each Katana II costs Sprint $180, and each Katana LX will cost Sprint $120, and both are offered to consumers for free, that means $60 less subsidy and thus $60 more profit for Sprint.
Some people just want a no-frills phone. As long as that market exists, it makes complete sense for Sprint to take full advantage and make as much profit as they can.
In seriousness, I did find it odd that you think it's worth time to simply call names without discussion on the topic.
but they wouldn't get this phone. They need a big and bulky one, cause "it won't break easily."
This is probably the W370.
it DOES have an External display but its a reflection design that can have a bunch of different screen savers scroll all over the flip. it also DOES have a camera (vga) and of course comes in four diff colors. Royal Blue, Graphite Black, Soft Pink and Red. its of course Bluetooth capable as well its a sweet little phone.
also as a side note i had a chance to play with the new pro series with the Qchat and had a 5 min discussion with no delays in completely diff states. 😁
SANYO ROCKS!!!
Sanyo used to make some of the thickest phones on the market.
Of course, everyone is trying to make all of their phones thinner, but Sanyo seems to be really promoting it with the Katana brand. The brand seems to be a specific strategy for shedding their rep for thick phones.
i like my katana II. it's solid. a little slow, but solid.
