Sprint not getting on the bus?

You would think they would make an announcement today as well. I know they have test markets with unlimited, but if I were them I would get that nationwide unlimited plan up pronto.

Thats one of the big disadvantages of a "Test Market"... your competition sees what you are doing and they can beat you to the bunch! Didn't those guys at Sprint ever take any Marketing courses in college? damn.

technically, they're the ONLY carrier to provide unlimited call plans WAY before everyone jumped on the bandwagon, it was just pricier.

Sprint will probably release it's new unlimited calling stuff everyone in the nation sometime this week, I presume.

That was a quick disease, huh?

Keep in mind: Sprint thinks the longer they take to get something out, it will be better and badder. In some cases, this is very good. But with things like this.. OR the RAZR, all you need to do is test it, and release it. But who knows. Maybe they will have something like, unlimited everything (texting, voice, roaming, net, etc) for $109.99. You never, ever, know with Sprint.

Yeah I would guess that they have to make a press release by tomorrow afternoon if they want to stay in the game (even though they aren't really in the game as much as VZ and ATT.)

Time will tell.

Ok, but I just read an article on engadget dated 2/6/08 saying it's now available nationwide. Not trying to be argumentative because I honestly have no idea, but at the very least, there are conflicting reports.

this is the info straight out of Sprint's dealer site.

February 19, 2008 - Sprint’s Response to Flat-Rate Unlimited Pricing from Verizon and AT&T
Verizon Wireless and AT&T each today (Feb. 19, 200😎 unveiled flat-rate unlimited pricing plans. Both companies’ price plans, for new and existing wireless subscribers, would start at $99.99 a month. Dan Hesse, Sprint president and CEO, addressed the possibility that Sprint would begin offering flat-rate unlimited pricing in a recent USA Today article.

Key messages:

Sprint offers great value in the market today with its current rate-plan offerings.

Sprint is trialing unlimited plans called Unlimited Access Packs. These plans are available for a limited time only in San Fra...

Sprint will come out with one since the testing is over. Don't forget that Sprint lost many customers during their fourth quarter last year. Also, high executives were fired and a new CEO was named. Once the dust clears, I'm sure they will be making a big announcement of their new national unlimited plan.
