Considering Apple is a computer company that has just released a phone that is a pretty good accomplishment. The only other Computer Company that comes to mind is HP that has made a phone. However when you consider that Apple had to design another OS just for there Phone product then I find that to be good thing. HP used what was already available MS Mobile.

Apple using their own programmers and design team to come up with a whole new OS for their equipment is nothing short of outstanding and should be complimented on an excellent achievement!

The other facet to consider is that the OS is new. Does anybody remember when Windows Mobile came out? There were alot of bugs to work out as well things you couldn't do and things you coul...

Yeah, and it's nice to have a phone that can be updated. I still have quarrels with Apple, but they have a grasp on the market. They out sold Nokia, Palm and Motorola in 90 days percentage wide. The only ones that are doing better are RIM, with a massive percent of the market share.

4 million phones sold in 200 days. Let's see Verizon come up with a phone that can do that.

ok yeah i got read that wrong the jack*** hat is on me there, but I still seriously doubt that the N95 sold that many phones in the same amount of time, if so is that a world wide figure for nokia or just and american sales figure?

I admit they didn't sell that many N95s in 200 days, but thats total world sales over the 18months or so since it was introduced.

I do know they did sell more symbian based phones since the iphone was introduced. But I also admit, they are sold all over the world, and most are cheaper then an iphone. And will admit, thats not a fair comparison seeing Nokia does have a 20 year head start selling mobiles.

Um. . . who was it then?

Do you know anything about how Apple works? Their entire design infrastructure is internal, and infamously secretive. I take it you missed the recent Wired article on the development of the iPhone within Apple?

Or am I being a complete dumb@$$ because you were being sarcastic? 'Cuz, ain't nobody worked on the phone but Apple.

Gee, I just hook my N95 to my computer, the Nokia Suit comes up and I click the upgrade button. And they've been doing that for years.

Also, it doesn't hack the phone back to be locked, install ARM AES/RES hardware lock keys so you can't unlock it, nor does it brick the phone.

An oh yes, I can SMS and MMS to as many as I want, and it supports 3g and real gps.

Gee, you can put lipstick on a pig, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still a Nokia.

Didn't you see the movie Transformers? Nokias turn into Decepticons!!! Be careful what you plug that thing into.

I am really considering getting a iPhone when my contract is up with Verizon at the end of the month but I need some answers first. I have heard that the iPhone can sync with MS Outlook, is that true (my life revolves around my calendar and contacts)??? Also, what of the iPhone 2??? It seems that all of the upgrades that were supposed to be in that new version are being released in a firmware update. I am really interested in this phone, not to mention the service cost for 2 iPhones with unlimited data and SMS is cheaper than one phone from Verizon. Please if anyone could shed some light, please do. Thanks.
