Voyager and Verizon Data Plans
Do you have to get the data plan in order to get the Voyager?. Vrz data plans are kinda expensive 😡 . Is it possible to get it just with the Vcast-mobile web package? I have the 450 minutes plus text messaging for $45 how much would I have to pay a month to have this phone?

Yes I just called Verizon about it. You do not need to get a Data plan. But if you want the FULL HTML browsing, you need the $44.99 unlimited data plan. The $15 vcast mobile web price jsut gets you the BOGUS web browsing of mobile web.

I was not sure since the phone has full HTML. Now that I know this,I'll definitely wait for this phone. I'll get it with the mobile web Vcast and if it's too crappy I'll have to get the data plan.

Yes i would like to thank you too for giving a claer cut answer and not a rant about how this phone sucks, the data plan is unreasonable, or compair it to yhe iphone...there need to be more people like you....

First off... The information that you are getting has not been made clear to ANYONE at Verizon yet. These phones have been kept top secret to the front line reps and to many others who think they should be in the "know", so I highly doubt that the answer to this question is answerable to anyone that you call. In order for VZW to make this their "iPhone" killer, they need to make it price competitive to the iphone.

Word over at HoFo is that you will get unlimited data with the $15 Vcast plan. You will not need to buy the $45 pda data plan. This goes for the full html data not simply the piddle wap mobile browser. However, nothing is 100% confirmed, just leaked by supposedly reliable sources 🙂

Yeah, I'm a Verizon rep who's been wondering the same thing and haven't gotten solid answers yet. I'm still hoping $15 bucks is gonna cover you for this one. Without full outlook integration i think it's gonna be hard to bill this as a real smartphone.

The Voyager will have full HTML support with V-Cast for $15/mth. This phone is not a PDA therefore the $44.99 Unltd data plan is not applicable. I am 100% sure about this. There will be no mobile web for $15 and html for $44.99 as mentioned previously. Like others in this forum I cannot wait to get my hands on this phone. I have been waiting to get rid of my Sam U740 and now its days are limited. I was originally looking at the xv6800 for its internet capabilities but with the Voyager I feel like I will be very satisfied. So time to cut back on the unnecessary spending so that come November I can enjoy my phone with hopefully a 8G memory card. Wow, the moment I have been waiting for. As you guys can see I am overly excited.
