A company COPIES Motorola's start point on thin phones?
Why don't they put i-tunes in them too.
Might as well do the exact copy...
...
The only similarity is the form factor and the thinness. Although, when compared to the SLVR, this phone is probably going to lack some features: Motorola's horrible UI... crappy camera... the illogical monstrosity that is iTunes...
...
Can I ask What type of phone do you use?
...
You sure can.
I have the Samsung D600. It's the best phone that I've ever owned. Yes, I'm biased; but, I've owned a Motorola and I sell Motorolas and I've never found them to be very intuitive.
...
I completely agree; Motorola's software is terrible. Their user interface is horribly unintuitive. They've had this problem for years; why can't they hire some decent UI developers?

Didn't samsung come out with media phones with expandable memory before motorola? ๐คจ

Exactly. These idiots are like "Samsung is copying Motorola." Well if that's that the case, did the RAZR have a QVGA screen when the Blade came out? Nope. Did the Moto L7 have a QVGA screen when the T809 came out for T-Mo? Nope. Was the L7 a slider factor form? Nope.
I think these Moto fanboys are hatin on Samsung all because they take Moto's ideas and make better phones. I'm no Samsung fan but any idiot can cleary see the Blade is worlds better than that RAZR. Even the KRZR is still gonna have an ancient 176x220 screen. Old news.

i hate it when people say their copying this and that. would u call it copying when verizon and sprint set out ev-do, or when cingy went gsm when t-mobile already was? its not copying its competitive business they see how much of a market is out and want a peice of the pie
...
Well, the thing this guy doesn't realize is that they are a lot more people who don't like motorolas..especially the people that already have had them. By samsung putting phones like these out, it gives people a chance to buy a nice thin phone..if thats what they want.
...
He made his with 4 wheels and horn...
Now look everyone is copying him!!!
When it comes to design.. sometimes people get things right.. and then other designers improve upon it.. its silly to say one person copies another and shame them for it. Its human nature to try and impove a good thing allready. Thats why we see the classes of phones we have. Clam shell, candy bar, ect. Some phone company designed she basic phone and we all are working up from there...
...
You can only take such analogies so far. Otherwise, every mobile manufacturer in the world is copying Motorola for making phones without wires or cords.
The fact of the matter is that, recently, Samsung does seem to be in the habit of copying styles of handsets pioneered by other manufacturers. Yeah, they improve upon them greatly but that doesn't change the perception that Samsung seems to have fewer original ideas than their competition. When Motorola drops the RAZR, SLVR and Q and then shortly after, Samsung announces the A900, T519 and I320 what else are people SUPPOSED to think?
I'm not a fan of Moto or Samsung so I'm not trying to pick one over the other. But if Samsung wants to take that approach that's cool. But they, and ...

can you blame them for wanting to jump on the band wagon?? they have every right

Who cares if Samsung made a thin phone?? the Razar or thin phones are not even popular in Korea,
Like the guy before said the only reason they decided to make this phone is to leverage some of the market share for this fad phone.
In Korea right now phones with swivel widescreen, realtime TV with/tivo are popular.
When are we gettin those?? likely in a year or two.. then you will see Motorola and Nokia scrambling around to bring their own version.
I have worked in the wireless industry for 7 years, since the days of the Motorola Tarpon, and the Startac;
I remember when Samsung came out with Color screen phones, all of the other manufacturers were still producing black and white phones for at least 2 more years.
...
I thought Ericsson made the first color screen phone??
...
but its also good to have an original design;thats how u make money bro
...
I didn't realize the L7 had a 6.9mm slim form factor, let alone a Fiberglass-infused plastic case.
Has Motorola ever even launched a slim slider? Last time I checked, Samsung came to market with that over a year ago. Motorola is now comming to market with the Rizr slim slide? Talk about Hypocracy...
...
Sanyo actually launched the thin phone and moto copied!!! about 5-6 years ago there was a thin candy bar style phon that sanyo launched w/ a li-polymer battery. So dont u think moto is copying????
...
I don't know what you have or why you are against Samsung making thin phones, but in reality, Motorola didn't put a patent on the thinness for cell phones, so its really not exclusive to them. Motorola is garbage, compared to Samsung. What are you gonna say when Nokia starts to make thin cell phones?! By the way, Motorola keeps making played out phones, such as the RAZR. They need to change the tune or something. They upgrade the features, but keep the same crappy hardware design. Motorola wishes they could be like Samsung. Samsung has less buggier phones.
...
Looks like Motorola is copying Samsung on the slider form factor. You sound mad crazy, on saying Motorola has the thin form factor first. You sound like a little kid..."I had it first"
...
moto had ROKR models with itunes support, but the sales tells how is it
...
how about this: why doesn't Samsung take an existing phone, lets say, I don't know, the T809, and made slight improvements? Oh wait, that's exactly what happened. If you knew about phones at all you would know Samsung is notorious for the "add a feature, drop a feature".
...
All manufacturers do that. ๐
...
Yes, Samsung kinda jumped on the thin-phone bandwagon. But I have an a900, Samsung's version of the Razr, and you can see soo many improvments. The screen is cleaer, camera is better, UI way better. Samsung just makes better phones, it's just that simple. You can be innovative, like Motorola, but if ur end product sucks, then someone like Samsung comes in makes it better. I would never own a Motorola, especially since having used this A900.
