It's a shame that the Motorola brand will be done away with... the brand that developed the first mobile phone, and then helped to popularize mobile phones, particularly in the US. At least with Nokia (Devices and Services), when that brand went away, there was some hope that the brand would come back in some fashion in 2016 thanks to the surviving wing of Nokia, but Motorola Solutions is not nearly as likely to try their hand at making mobile phones any time soon, so I don't really have any hope of Motorola making a resurgence.

Be interested in which device you use. It's funny how people get all upset over a brand being done away with when they are part of the reason why by not purchasing their product.

This is not necessarily directed at just you, but in general I bet the majority of people upset over Motorola going away haven't bought one of their products in years.

I agree with you Brad. American companies are mostly to blame for the demise of American companies. If they produced a more compelling product they wouldn't all be tanking.

Then there's also the point that American labor has to unfairly compete with slave labor in other parts of the world (here's looking at you China). We shouldn't allow foreign companies that use any form of slave labor to compete in our economy. If they don't provide competitive wages, work environment, and benefits they shouldn't be allowed to play in our sandbox. To do otherwise is to devalue American labor, period.
