Screen hanging up

I have an x2, and every time I hit the top button and unlock the phone, the hit the home button it takes anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds to load the main window. Anyone have a solution to this issue?

Thanks.

Questions

I currently have the Motorola Droid X2 and I like it, but I have been looking at the Samsung Charge as well.

I am wanting the 4G but I do not do anything but watch Netflix & Hulu on the DroidX2 which is only 3G.

What should I do and what do you recommend? I only have about 5 more days left on my Worry Free Guarantee.

Droid X or X2??

Here's my story about the above subject. I purchased the DROID X (X) 5 1/2 months ago and at first loved it, although a little confusing being new type of phone to me. 3 monhs and 3 weeks later, the phone just died. Went to VZW store they called tech people and were confused. Sent me my second X, 1st certified used x. That x certified lasted one week. 2nd X certified lasted one day. All the same problem. Battery super hot then dead. Had to persuade VZW store manager, very nice person, to get a new X or a another new type of phone. She stated that VZW does not stock new phones, just certified used. I said Verizon is a big boy now and they can't afford to trade me for a new phone after three X's? She made a call and ordered me, overnight throu...

Some questions...

- What is "Sleep Mode", and when should it be used? (as opposed to completely turning off)

- Is there a way to add a pause, followed by your 4-digit pin, to your voicemail preset? This was possible in all my previous non-Android phones, and I find it hard to believe this would not be an option in Android.

- I'm happy with Android 2.3, and wondering if Launcher Pro really improves the experience a lot. I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it (but am always open to advice/suggestions)...

- I upgraded from the LG Ally, and one of the things I liked about that phone was it came with a full-screen calendar widget. Does the Droid X have this, and if not, can I download one from the market? What calendar is the best?

first rom

Is going on my phone today. Super stoked. I hope its awesome, but I kind of doubt it seeing that it is one of the first.

I'm excited to get stock off of my phone though because the developers usually do a better job than motorola.

android 2.2.2???

OKay, I just got this phone and out of the box it says android version 2.2.2, build number4.4.1_274_dtn-14.8

It looks just like 2.3 on a droid x, but Im concerned that mine may have a glitch in it. So far I have to pull the charger out to get the phone to update the percentage that it is at and it has power cycled once already. What do yours say under phone info? I checked for updates and none are available.

Is this a common problem or do I just have a bunk phone?
The battery percentage indicator is not an issue with my phone.

Why Upgrade?

I have the Droid X.

Why upgrade? Don't see any reason.
What are your thoughts?
If you already have the original X, there's probably not enough reason to get a whole new phone.

But this relatively simple swap of display and processor components by Motorola keeps their flagship phone competitive. It's probably a good choice fo...

if you have the original droid X like i do..there really is no reason. only things that are different are the dual core processor(which is nice but not enough to switch) and the droid X 2 does not have a camera button which is a nice feature..sorta. l...

I got the Droid-X the day it released and I love it. I agree that upgrading to the X2 is NOT worth it if you already have the Droid-X. I do not plan to upgrade until Verizon releases a decent LTE phone (possibly Motorola Targa). While waiting for a go...

Well I've got a two year old lg env touch its a nice phone but its getting long in the tooth and I would rather replace it before it fails. I want a android phone and the fact the 95% of the droid x2 software is the same as droid X as nice because its...

I agree with the people that say that there really isn't a difference. It may have fixed some of the original X's issues (I never had the original) but I can say the X2 IS a WHOLE lot better. I can also say that Motorola and Verizon probably put this ...

I upgraded from the X to the X2 out of necessity. (Long story) I would not upgrade if I did not HAVE to. I would rather have the Droid X with the Gingerbread update than the X2 without it. I chose the X2 because there is no 4G in the area and none o...

reviews contradictory

It is interesting to read the first two reviews here for this phone, they seem contradictory to me in terms of the battery.
Joey
Yes. They were contradictory but only because the reviewers were comparing the X2 against two different phones.

The first reviewer thought the X2 battery life was great because he came from a ThunderBolt, which is known for bad battery life. He th...

Faster camera, better screen

From what Ive read the screen isn't THAT much better, I guess my question is is the camera noticeably faster between the button press and image capture?

This would be a big deal for me, because thats forever been my complaint with any cell phone camera.
