C Spire Wireless Rebadges the Motorola Droid X2

C Spire Wireless today announced the availability of the Motorola Milestone X2, a rebranded version of Verizon's Droid X2. C Spire is selling the Milestone X2 online and in stores for $99.99 after rebate with a new contract.

Both the Motorola Droid X2 and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 can be updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread thanks to Verizon Wireless and Sony Ericsson. Droid X2 owners can update their handset over the air using the on-board system update tools.

Verizon Wireless has published support documentation outlining the Android 2.3 Gingerbread system update for the Motorola Droid X. Gingerbread brings a wide number of updates and changes to the Droid X, including new user interface colors and schemes, customizable dock icons, better word prediction and dictionary support, more calendar options, numerous updates and fixes for the email application, better low-light camera performance, and improved battery life with Bluetooth.
