BlackBerry Curve 9370 Hits Verizon Stores Today for $99

Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of the BlackBerry Curve 9370 at Verizon Wireless stores and online for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new contract. The Curve 9370 supports Verizon's 3G network in the U.S. and is a global device that can roam onto the GSM/EDGE networks overseas. The 9370 also included support for near-field communications. It runs BlackBerry 7.
RIM punches out a low-end Curve smartphone for Verizon Wireless. While the 9370 looks to be capable, it has a hard time keeping up with today's smartphones.

Research In Motion today announced a new line of BlackBerry Curve smartphones, the 9350, 9360, and 9370. All three devices offer identical hardware and run the new BlackBerry 7 operating system with the latest version of BlackBerry Messenger and the new BlackBerry browser.
The latest version of the BlackBerry Curve is the smallest yet, but offers many of the same features found on its bigger BlackBerry brothers.

Research In Motion was hit with a lawsuit by NXP, which alleges that RIM's BlackBerry Torch, Curve, and Bold smartphones infringe on six of its patents. NXP wants sales of the devices halted, and compensatory and triple damages.

Visa announced that it has certified the first selection of NFC-equipped smartphones to use PayWave, Visa's mobile application for payments at retail locations. The handsets include the Samsung Galaxy SII, LG Optimus NET NFC, BlackBerry Bold 9900, Bold 9790, Curve 9360, and Curve 9380.
They need to hurry up and push out BBX or w.e they are going to decide to call it. >_>
