In my tests if the stock Android browser on the Bionic under Verizon's LTE 4G network, it was blazing fast. Even heavy-duty web sites with lots of content loaded in a blink. The Bionic was notably slower when stuck in 3G land. Web sites were definitely slower to load, and not as quick to respond to actions such as refreshing, stopping, clicking links, and so on.

Customize

With five home screen panels, the Droid Bionic offers users plenty of room to adjust the phone's appearance, behavior and functionality.

The items unique to the Droid Bionic include several re-sizable Motorola widgets, such as the social networking widget, the favorites widget, the photo gallery widget (which also includes friends' Facebook photos,) and so on.

Motorola Droid Bionic Goes On Sale Sept. 8 for $299

Verizon Wireless and Motorola today announced that the Droid Bionic Android smartphone — the first from Motorola to support Verizon's Long Term Evolution 4G network — will be available for sale starting Thursday, September 8 for $299.99 with new two-year agreement. The Droid Bionic has been re-realized since its first introduction in January of this year and looks like an enhanced Droid X/X2.

Documents seen on the Federal Communications Commission web site today provide information about the revised Motorola Droid Bionic. The Droid Bionic was first announced in January at the Consumer Electronics Show along with the rest of Verizon's LTE-equipped smartphones 9HTC Thunderbolt, LG Revolution, Samsung Droid Charge).

Motorola Updates List of Devices to Receive Jelly Bean

Motorola recently revised the customer support page that lists which smartphones will receive updated versions of Android and approximately when those updates will arrive. The RAZR M, RAZR HD, and MAXX HD have all received Jelly Bean.

Motorola has updated the list of devices that will receive updated versions of Android and is revealing for the first time those slated to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Droid RAZR M, RAZR HD, and MAXX HD are all schedule to receive the Jelly Bean update before the end of the year.
