PNC Expands Free Check Depositing to All Customers

PNC Bank today announced that free check depositing is available to all its online banking customers who use an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. The feature was first trialled earlier this year to PNC's Virtual Wallet customers. Now, any customer can use the PNC Bank iPhone application to take a picture of a check and deposit it into the account of their choosing. PNC follows other companies, such as Chase and PayPal, which have also added this feature.

Residents of Arizona and Georgia will soon be able to add a secure digital version of their driver's license or state ID to the Wallet app on their iPhone and/or Apple Watch. Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Utah have also announced plans to support Apple's implementation.
