Google Offers Updates to Maps and YouTube for Symbian

Google recently provided updates for the Symbian versions of two of its products. Google Maps for Mobile now has the ability to add layers. These layers can contain different maps, such as transit maps or personal maps that the user previously saved. Maps can also be synced between the desktop version of Google Maps and the mobile version on Symbian handsets. The new version of the YouTube client (v.2.2.9) is compatible with S60 5th Edition, which is used by handsets such as the Nokia N97 and 5800 XpressMusic. Users still won't be able to log into their accounts, but the player has several added functions.
