FCC Approves Toshiba's TG01 with CDMA Radio On Board

The FCC recently cleared the Toshiba TG01 for use in the U.S. The TG01 is one of the first phones to ship with the 1Ghz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm. The TG01 also has a 4.1-inch WVGA touch display. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1, but has a customized user interface. Original specs of this phone when it was announced in February include HSDPA 3G data. The version that the FCC has approved includes CDMA instead. This suggests that one of the national CDMA carriers — such as Sprint or Verizon — might carry this device at some point in the future.

1 GHz! ONE GIGAHERTZ!

I think this will make Windows Mobile FLY! By contrast, the newest iPhone only runs 600 MHz. That's a 40% increase in performance!
