Silent Circle today said its Blackphone 2 smartphone is now available for sale in the U.S. The handset, announced earlier this year, is a privacy-minded smartphone that offers security for business users. The phone features a 5.5-inch full HD screen; 64-bit octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM; 3,060mAh battery; microSDXC memory card support; QuickCharge 2.0; and PrivatOS. PrivatOS, an Android fork, includes Silent Spaces, Enterprise Space, and Personal Space to keep data cotainered and protected. The OS also supports traditional mobile device management tools. A service contract with Silent Circle, which provides encrypted calling, email, and messaging, is the only way to take full advantage of the security features. The Blackphone 2 costs $799.99.

Pretty Neat, but?

I do think this phone is pretty decent, but its also expensive for what it is, as well as after a year or so, you have to pay Silent Circle. For those who need such security, just save like $300.00 and get a BlackBerry Passport with no other added fee's.
