for the LG G2 (Verizon):
Under Rated Awesome Phone
I'm on my 2nd G2 because I sold my first one in favor of a Note 3...since, I have tried the m8 and s5 and moto x...ended up rebuying the G2...its just hands down a better phone. Perfect size, amazingly nice screen, great camera...fast, and knock on is awesome eliminating any issues with the rear buttons. My only issue is build quality in terms of materials, is only on par with Samsung...not better, not worse...just, plastic. Due to the significantly increased ...

for the Apple iPhone 5s:
Cannot do simultaneous voice and data on Verizon; Seriously?
I was briefly considering jumping ship from android...got the iPhone 5s on Verizon and well, it was an iPhone...what can I say...good phone overall, good camera, fingerprint security worked very well, battery just meh; OK. Then I discovered the deal breaker, the phone cannot do simultaneous voice and data on Verizons network! Verizon blames Apple, Apple blames Verizon. Returned and back on android, cause it just works.

for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (CDMA):
Good phone overall, but
Samsung's touchwiz ui is just annoying...makes you feel like your using an android phone back in the days of eclair or gingerbread. The screen size is awesome, but the reality of handling the device with that screen size is awkward at best and I have big hands. The last nail in the coffin for me was the lack of built in wireless charging for a $699 retail phone and the additional $40 to get that...sorry, but that is just trying to ...

for the Motorola Droid Maxx:
Just get it! Dont let the CPU specs concern you!
I've been a diehard Motorola fan for years...owned every flagship/new Motorola phone since the original droid and this one is by far the best. Here's the thing, I know and realize this phone is not a "spec beast"...it doesn't have the latest snapdragon 800 or 3gb's of ram...but here's the thing, unless you're a serious gamer on a 5" screen (which to me seems stupid), you will never notice the difference. What you will notice However is a next to ...

for the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD:
Great Phone, Build Quality is 2nd to None
I don't normally rate anything 5 stars but I can't stand when people get an obviously defective device (which occurs with EVERYTHING that's manufactured, DOA's are normal) and then reviews the product based on that obviously defective device... its stupid and useless, those people apparently weren't gifted with rational thought. If it weren't for that I'd be at a 4 with this review. Moving on, the build quality on this is outstanding which is typical for motorola. Feels like an ...

for the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX:
Hands down the best smartphone out there, not just the best Android one!
I'm an extremely heavy business user that has become accustomed to charging my phone every chance I get so it will get through the day. With the Razr Maxx it hits the charger only once a day when I go to sleep at night; that's it and usually it's still around 30%+ at that time. I've owned upwards of 20+ smartphones in the last 8+ years since smartphones moved into the realm of "useable". BB's, Palm's, WM's, iPhones, Symbian, ...

for the Motorola Droid RAZR:
Hands down the best droid yet
Apparently some people feel reviewing a defective unit as a properly working model is relevant; it's not folks. If you get a defective unit, get it replaced THEN review / rate it (there are always defective units in manufacturing). I'm giving it 5 stars to help make up for that a bit; otherwise I'd likely give it 4. Moving on...I've had close to (over?) two dozen smart phones over the years starting with the early treo's. This is my 5th ...

for the HTC ThunderBolt:
It's going back...Re-activating my Droid X
I upgraded from my droid X to the thunderbolt for 4g readiness (to be grandfathered in on unlimited 4g) and just cause I was sort of bored with my droid X. First off, I don't care for sense...the widgets are cleaner and nicer looking than blur ones, however they aren't as functional. Second, battery life was noticeably worse than the droid X even in 3g only areas. But the final nail in the coffin for me is call quality...I've never had ...

for the Motorola Droid X:
iPhone Killer IMHO (If, you're a business user)
Started out with the iPhone 4 (my 1st iPhone), then realized nothing under the hood there, went to Droid X in Portland OR. PROS: -Fast phone! -Screen is awesome -Call clarity/signal strength is good -BI Navigation works really well (and voice controlled all the way down to "Go to Clackamas Oregon Best Buy" and it WORKS! Looks up the address on it's own, then plugs it in, confirm it and it begins navigation there) -Voice controlled EVERYTHING. Email dictation, google searches, SMS dictaton, navigation, calling, ...

for the Apple iPhone 4 (GSM):
Wow! Slick! Cool! And then...Nothing Else...
Cool looking slick phone, but in the end you don't get what you pay for. Was using it in Portland OR. PROS: -Looks -Highly refined and polished OS -Camera is really good for a phone -Apps, lots of apps that work really well -Visual VM (looked great, worked well, FREE) -Phone Design -Email handling (the way it displays emails) -Email attachment handling (nearly perfect) -Messaging in general works well -Speed CONS: -Call quality/clarity sucked -Bluetooth earpiece compatibility sucked (of 3 new BT earpieces only one worked well enough to use w/ this ...

for the Palm Treo Pro (CDMA):
...nice, just nice...
There's no perfect device so my 5 rating is abnormal, but I felt I should make up for the twit that scored it a 3 then proceeded to complain about Sprint. I've had every treo from the 650 - Pro, all in between and on all major national networks so every different flavor too including Palm OS in addition to trying almost every other WM smartphone out there in the last 4-5 years on those major networks; this Pro ...

for the Samsung Saga i770:
Heavy Business User Review Coming from Palm OS and WM Treo's
Heavy business user coming from Treo's I was sick of Palm OS on the 755P so instead of going back to a 700wx (VZW), I thought I'd give the Saga a try; it's going back. PROS: Slick looking phone, bluetooth works well, flush screen, world phone, reads urgent emails through bluetooth automatically. CONS: Optical mouse, buggy, big, battery life, screen lock doesn't work right, pocket calls, too many button pushes needed to do simple tasks, Samsungs implementation of WM6.1 is ...

for the Palm Treo 800w:
Best "Business" Smart Phone on the Market - PERIOD
First off as a reference point I've previously owned the Treo 755p, Treo 700wx, Treo 700w, Treo 700p, Treo 650, xv6700, xv6800, Motorola Q, Samsung Blackjack, Audiovox SMT 5600, Blackberry 8703e (think I was smokin' crack when I got that one). And that's JUST the smartphones...Most recent/last straight phone I had was a RAZR and a Nokia (can't remember that ones model # though). Now for the 800w...I have been reading about this phone for about a year, I've now ...

for the Palm Treo 755p:
Not Impressed - But hey, it works...
So, I have owned the 650, 700w, 700wx, 700P and now 755P...Also owned most other type of WM smart phones on VZW. Officially I'm done trying to like Palm OS. I had a 700WX, was bored with it, tired of waiting for the 800w, so a few months ago when the 755P came to VZW I figured it's only a few more months, maybe *this time* I'll like Palm OS, so I got it...Should have kept the 700wx. The Pros: It is ...

for the HTC Mogul / XV6800 / PPC6800 / P4000:
Better than 6700, still not great...Waiting for 800W
Overall this is a much better phone than the 6700, however it still has issues. PROS: WM6 Bluetooth that works Small for what it does Large screen voice dialing CONS: Crashes a LOT ... True of any WM smartphone, but I thought with this new phone, WM6 maybe a little less - I was wrong. Slider...can't wait for 800w to go back to bar SLOOOOOOOWWWW By comparison of the phones I've had (treo 650, treo 700w, treo 700wx, treo 700p, Q, BB...Hmm, I think that's it). I over all ...

for the BlackBerry 8703e:
Very solid phone, but for me, not the right phone...
I had this phone for about 4 weeks...Previous to this I had always had the top of the line, a few smartphones, high end non-smartphones etc. BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: If you have no pre-concieved notions of what a "smartphone" should be, how one works etc and you just want your calendar, email and contacts on a reliable cell phone then this IS THE phone for you. If however you are aware of what other smartphones can do and those "extras" interest ...

for the Palm Treo 700w / 700wx:
700W - Finally a worth PDA & CELL Combo
I had the Treo 650 with Verizon and Cingular and returned both. Verizon's Treo 650 just flat sucked as a cell phone, I could barely make calls due to low/no signal etc. Just horrible. Then I tried Cingulars 650 - the signal strength was much better, calls were clear but volume lacked and it dropped calls like it was going out of style (2 different phones later I found it to be a Cingular problem in this area, not ...

Nov 15, 2005, 9:34 PM
for the Nokia 6255i / 6256i:
Finally a fully featured Nokia on VZW!
I finally picked this up at Best Buy the other day...After using it a bit I find the call quality to be good, reception to be good but the looks of it will not win any fashion awards and the menu's as well as customization ability is a little disappointing. But I am just glad to finally be able to have a real phone on VZW with bluetooth etc Pros: -Bluetooth (not crippled on VZW - yea!!!) -Simplistic -Reception -Solid Feel/Design Cons: -Speakerphone - same ...

for the Audiovox SMT 5600 / SPV C500 (HTC Typhoon):
NICE PHONE!!! Too bad only Cingular has it here...
I tried this phone with Cingular and aside from the middle paddle button being a little difficult to get use to and the fact that it has a camera (I can't stand phones with cameras) it is quite possibly the best phone out there for the money. The PDA functionality works quite well and for my use of a PDA/phone it doesn't matter that it lacks a qwerty keyboard, I only input on my computer and just transfer to ...

for the Motorola RAZR V3:
All about the looks . . . and thats it
Obviously a great looking phone, good feel to it as well. Loud speaker and nice screen (on the inside, outside one is a joke). Battery life sucked (as I've found to be true of most Motorola's). Address book software appears to have been written by a two year old, it's really moronic (found that this appears to be true with all moto's though). Moto Phone tools? I just have one thing for motorola on that one: | ..|.; |__/ Basically if ...

for the Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood:
Nice phone, mine *might* have been defective though...
I'm going to give this phone the benefit of the doubt and say it *could* have been a defective phone because in the two days I have had it I have never said "I can't understand you, what did you say?" as many times in my time having a cell phone as I've had to in the past 2 days with the E815. Again though, it may be that this particular one is defective, it's just almost every call ...
