for the BlackBerry Torch 9850:A Miss from Blackberry
This phone was usable for about 2 days before I had to swap back to a different smartphone. It isn't horrible for a BBerry, but it is fair to compare it to other phones since A. you can only use one at a time and B. everything else has better functions. for the Samsung Intercept:Decent Entry Level Phone, otherwise avoid it
This phone is billed as the successor to the moment, yet the graphics are worse, the 3G internet is slow (EvDo 0 instead of EvDo A) and the screen really feels unresponsive from my tests. Samsung has shown poor support for the Moment so far, so there is no reason to expect the phone to get anything beyond Android 2.1. I am amazed that so many people give a phone with so many hardware flaws a good review. Samsung really skimped on hardware. The GPS chip SUCKS and does not work. Seriously, try to get turn by turn directions with this phone, it won't happen. Next big problem: Data lock up. You put the phone in WiFi, then turn WiFi off and within 5-10 minutes the 3G locks up. Only fix is to restart the phone. Its an inexcusable ...
