GPS?
I know GPS isn't built in, but can this phone do GPS another way? If so, what's the difference if it's not built in? I really want turn-by-turn instructions.
This phone has everything I want except built in GPS, but I'm not even sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Re: Internet Radio??
Because you'll be using a huge amount of internet time, you really will need the unlimited internet access of Medianet. It's possible from a technical perspective that this would work since the phone can download data fast. But I don't know what client software (Java likely) would be required and if the phone could handle it. Again my guess is it could, but I don't know for sure.
Re: Sending Pictures via email?
Actually after reading more about this, I'm guessing that no matter how we're sending the picture, it will be considered as a multimedia message and count against the total.
I did find out that our first month of text messaging is free. But that only adds fuel to the fire! 8O
Re: Sending Pictures via email?
I know it's possible, I hope Flurry comes though. It would be awesome.
Re: question with music player
If you have your songs named with Artist/Album/Song_number_on_album/Song_Name as I do, it displays fine. But no way to select songs on just one album for instance, without a play list as you've stated.
Re: Sending Pictures via email?
I did mean MMSs, not IM. Ii want to send pictures I take to other people's email, but it sounds like the Media Net package considers sending a picture this way using your phone email account (supplied by Media Net), is considered an MMS, which would be considered a Multimedia message send and goes against the number of "Text Messages" I have in my package (200).
Basically, I'm looking for a way to send my pictures directly ...
Sending Pictures via email?
Is there any way to send pictures in memory through Medianet Email? Or any method that doesn't use IM? It's kind of addictive and my 200 IMs are gonna get eaten up really quick. I'd rather send stuff via email if I could.
Watching Video Content
I haven't gotten the phone yet, I'm picking it up this weekend. But if I want to watch TV on my phone, what video format is best to use? I know I can make an AVI file and I'm sure that would work. But they are pretty large. What compression could I use that this phone would accept and how would I convert the AVI to that format?
Man I'm pumped about this. I have ...
Re: 2gb micro
That makes sense, I agree it should work. And someone here said they have a CU500 with a 2 gig card in it and it works fine.
But I wonder if the speed of the memory is slower than the 512 meg or 1 gig cards, or if that even makes a difference.
Re: 2gb micro
munk3e mentioned in their review here that they are using a 2 gig card. So I'm guessing that's an endorsement! :D
2 Gigs of RAM?
Has anyone tried using a 2 gig micro card and does it give you the full 2 gigs? Or is this not possible with this phone? I want to store my TV shows for viewing on the train.
Re: Hinge a big problem?
Ok great. I've checked everywhere and besides the two people here that mentioned there was a problem, nobody else has said anything other than what you just said. Thanks!
Hinge a big problem?
Are there a lot of people with the broken hinge? After looking all over the internet on this, I haven't found any other mention of it but here. Are people still having this problem?
Re: Hinge
The only thing holding me back on getting this phone is the question with the hinge. Is it really a widespread problem?
LG CU500 display (65
This display supports 65k colors whereas many other phones support 262k colors. Is this a noticable thing? People claim that the video is awesome (I haven't seen the phone yet), but will this be lacking for the video content that someone would display with all the video content Cingular provides?
For those of you that have this phone, honestly is it as good as it needs to be to make all this 3G content as cool as it ...
