You have to to either... 1- Buy an MHL compatible cable where one is micro-USB and the other end is HDMI. 2- Buy an MHL adaptor that has HDMI, and a micro-USB port as well. I don't think there are many cables even out yet in the US, but Sprint is selling the official HTC MHL adaptor. Here is the link: http://shop2.sprint.com/NASApp/onlinestore/en /Action/DisplayAllAccessories?phoneSKU=APX515 CKT&FirstStep=accessory Scroll down a bit until you see the MHL adaptor.

Yeah. That's absolutely true. When I was first reading specs aboutt the phone, I knew that I would most likely never used 3D. Than when I got the phone, I said to myself might as check it out. It's pretty cool. It works well and it's a fun challenge to take pics where 3D really shows well. I probably won't be using 3D in 5-6 months, but it's still a fun feature to have.

I didn't buy it for the 3D either, but I absolutely love that feature. It's entertaining showing the 3D to other people, and to actually take 3D pics as well. Once I realize I'm in a 3D surrounding where it might show up well on my phone, I'll go ahead and take a pic. I never had the icon issue you are talking about. Google Voice also worked for me instantly. I agree, the phone is lightning quick.

in the HTC EVO V 4G / EVO 3D (CDMA) forum

I actually leave everything on (including WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, All my notifications), and with moderate-heavy usage, I get about 12 hours of battery life. Did you try and calibrate your battery? I didn't do so, but it might help.

Re: HDMI OUT MIRRORING

in the HTC EVO V 4G / EVO 3D (CDMA) forum

There is HDMI-output on the EVO 3D. You just have to purchase an MHL adaptor. What it is, it's an adaptor that has an HDMI and a micro-USB output so you can watch and charge the phone at the same time. Also to answer the original question, yes. The EVO 3D does mirror everything onto a TV when you connect it via HDMI.

EVO 4G or Epic 4G?

in the Samsung Epic 4G (Galaxy S) forum

I plan on purchasing an Android phone really soon and it's down to the EVO 4G and the Epic 4G. I'm really diggin' the EVO, but I really like the screen on the Epic. Any suggestions?

With the new update from Palm, you can now forward TXT message as well as having custom ringtones. I think your best bet is to get the Pre w/ a contract.

Re: Palm Pixi WiFi??
Nov 16, 2009, 10:22 AM
in the Palm Pixi / Pixi Plus (CDMA) forum

First off, the Pixi isn't aimed at the Pre's demographic. Palm released the phone for those who would buy the Centro. In order to sell the phone at a value price that's cheap, they took out WiFi and lowered the camera res. They also took out 80 pixels in the screen size. All that is still ok b/c it still does have EV-DO Rev. A, the camera is still 2.0 megapixels, and the screen is still an amazing capacitive touch screen. ...

Yeah, the Instinct will arrive on Verizon never. Sprint exclusive.

Re: Instinct Mobile Sync, Ect

in the Samsung Instinct M800 forum

Of course they do. But they don't encounter every single problem down to the bone. Also, Sprint has a certain amount of people, who do test out the Instincts for problems before release. It's just a small group, nothing compared to the people who have purchased the phone. The people who have purchased the phone, than send out feedback on what's up with the phone. Which Sprint recognizes, and will fix.

Well, first off, updates are required most for new electronics. That's when customers first get their hands on a new electronics, and begin to experience problems. That's when they give Sprint feedback on what's up with the phone, and with the next update, majority of minor problems will be fixed. Updates are a normal thing, it makes the phone better than it was before. Just because it is new, does not mean it should not have any updates.

Yeah, the Instinct is a great piece of technology. After Dan Hesse took over Sprint, they have been heading to the right direction.

Re: no wifi?
Jul 4, 2008, 6:00 PM
in the Samsung Instinct M800 forum

True, WiFi would be a nice feature. But with EV-DO Rev. A, it's not needed as much. You also got to think of other reasons, such as battery life. Also, it's much more difficult to have Wi-Fi in a CDMA [Sprint, Verizon] phone than a GSM [AT&T, T-Mobile] phone.

Re: Sprint has alot of nerve forcing customers into spending money
Jul 1, 2008, 11:55 AM
in the Samsung Instinct M800 forum

I agree. It's like buying an Xbox 360, but buying no games what so ever. The Instinct shines it's best at all multimedia aspects, not having a plan for it is a pure waste.

Re: screen auto lock
Jun 29, 2008, 11:01 PM

I highly don't suggest this. Never DIMming your screen will decrease the life of the screen of burning out. It is a hassle to press the button, but it's helpful, of not accidentally pressing something while it's in your pocket.

Re: DOES THIS PHONE HAVE IM
Jun 29, 2008, 10:52 PM
in the Samsung Instinct M800 forum

MySpace? IM? I never new MySpace had an IM client. You could access MySpace online, you can Access Yahoo.com, In terms of AIM, Yahoo, Windows LIVE Messenger, at this point you cannot, but I'm sure later on, an upgrade will be available, in which you could. Last time I heard, the iPhone does not have IM clients either.

Yeah, the Instinct is a multimedia type phone, not business at all. For a business phone, I recommend you get my current phone, the Motorola Q9c.

1.) So, the official price of the Instinct is $129.99, which is excellent. It's going to be $229.99, and a $100 mail in rebate. 2.) The Instinct will work on SERO Plans, http://www.phonedog.com/cell-phone- research/blog/instinct-sprint-instinct-will-w ork-on-sero-plans.aspx There is the link. Enjoy people. It's only 2 more days until the phone is out, June 20th.

Re: 3 outta 5

in the Samsung Instinct M800 forum

The iPhone on Sprint's network would be pretty awesome. Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is a great phone, but the Instinct is one hell of a phone as well. Come June 20th, this little bad bad boy will be in my pocket, along with all the great features it has, and rokcin' it on Sprint's EV-DO Rev. A Network. It even has an FM radio, which is sweet.

I'm sorry, but AT&T's 3G Network compared to Sprint's EV-DO Rev. A Network? AT&T being superior? What is all this nonsense. EV-DO Rev. A demolishes 3G, Also, the iPhone 3G still does not have Video Recording, Removable Battery, Mobile TV, Memory Card Slot, Haptic Feedback, A2DP Bluetooth support, MMS... All of which the Instinct has.

It's great. It comes with the 'Instant Messaging' application, which has all the three major services, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, and Windows LIVE Messenger. All of the services work great. I would recommend to get a Unlimited TXT plan. You can also be signed on to all three at once.

When you purchase a WiFi Mini SD card, this specific card will allow your Q9m/Q9c to receive a WiFi signal. Meaning, where ever there is a Wireless Internet available, your phone will be able to use it. If WiFi is not available where you are at, than you could always use Verizon/Sprint's service.
