Try removing your battery for about 30 seconds. Once you plug it back in. Windows should recognize the phone.

TOO BIG
With all the phone manufacturer's trying to one-up each other with bigger displays these days I want to know your thoughts on what's the perfect display size and your ideal phone dimension. Mine by the way is similar in size/display to the Samsung Galaxy with the 4" display and the max size I'm comfortable with.
Ringer Volume
How's the ringer volume on the phone? I was playing with it in the ATT Store and I wasn't overly impressed. Maybe it was too much noise in there when I tested it. I loved everything else about it though except there is no flash for the camera.

I travel up and down the East Coast from GA to NY and NEVER had a failed call. There are more than one variable for those that have experienced it. I am satisfied with AT&T.

The SIM card is just a gadget that holds the subscriber information. What does it have to do with a plan? If AT&T wanted to, they could easily honor his current plan.

maybe you have a bad SD card. i didnt format mine and it worked the moment I put it in the phone. I have the V9 with AT&T but it should work the same though.

Everyone here is talking about AT&T versus Verizon and others concerning call quality. Call quality is also dependent on the handset among other variables. The provider is not the only criteria that determines call quality.
I have the RAZR2 V9 with AT&T and I enjoy excellent quality. No dropped/failed calls yet. However, as I said before, there are other variables determining that.

Back in the day I had a Motorola V600 that I got from AT&T. I paid to get the unlock code online and unlocked it myself soon thereafter. I never had any problems whatsoever with that phone. Matter of fact I still have it and it still works great! I just happen to like the latest and greatest so I parked the trusty old unlocked V600.
Unlocking the phone just allows you to put any provider's ...

Well, I don't live in Pittsburgh but I was having the same problems with failed/dropped calls along parts of I-95 near Richmond and areas around Northern VA. I lost my V-635, got a cheap Motorola go-phone and a new SIM(Ithink it was the c163 or something of the sort) and my call quality improved markedly. I have since upgraded to the RAZR2 V9 and its even better.

SYNC RAZR2 V9
I talked to Motorola shortly after posting my review and they gave me a link to download Motorola Phone Tools Ver 4.5.4 and I was able to sync my contacts with outlook. The link expires in 5 days or after 5 downloads.
Sorry I can't provide the link here because they only gave itto me after they verified that I owned an older version of the software.

So what innovaions are you suggesting Motorola should incorporate? For every new product, there are folks that that try to pick them apart, find fault, and just be downright negative without much knowledge about the product other than what they've read in a review.

I talked to a store manager about this phone and he said Motorola has to do some tweaking after AT&T's tests and it looks like Novenber before it is released. :evil:

Log into ATT site and look up the settings for the phone you intend to buy. They have instructions on how to set up email, MMS messaging etc.

I traveled that same route coming from Toronto to NYC two tears ago and the coverage sucked then also. For long stretches I had zero coverage.

Go to Howard forums and search for help. You will need Phone tools, P2K Tools 3, and RSD Lite to back up and transfer your files.
