I should point out though... that it does do pretty well in lower light situations.

There is absolutely NO camera flash on the DLX. I consider this to be very unfortunate.

Well, details are very shaky on the Pro-800 so far... but it's looking like Sanyo is coming up with a new "high end" line... with the DLX being more of a mid-range phone and the Pro-700 and Pro-800 being the new flagships. Could it be?? Could Sanyo be finally putting all of their toys into one awesome (and likely $500.00) phone?? I've got to see it to believe it... but the idea is cool and the pics are ...

I can't find the option to turn on the buddy either. I can't understand why Sanyo takes a couple of steps forward and then takes a big step back. *sigh* I am looking forward to the Pro-800.

Has anyone else seen the article on these? http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/Spr int-to-get-dual-faced-Samsung-Music-and-two-n ew-Katanas-from-Sanyo-article-a_1796.html That Sanyo 800 Pro looks like one hell of a contender! I'm second guessing my DLX!

No complaint about the reception at all. Most Sanyo phones are known to have great reception anyway... and this one is no exception. I used to own Samsung phones. I love some of the technology Samsung incorporates, but I could never go back because of the horrible reception issues. Once you go Sanyo... you see the difference. Ok, ok... Nokia is ok too. :P

I very much like this phone. No volume issues with ringers or speakers that I can find. Overall, it's a solid little phone with lots of toys. And for those of you complaining about the voice dial... recording a sample name for voice dialing works just fine and in my opinion, is more accurate than the interpretive voice dial you guys keep complaining about it not having. Sanyo's UI has always been good... I feel better ...

Are you measuring it diagonally?

You can also record calls on many Sanyo phones... another cool feature... but as far as I know it only records the voice of the person you're talking to... not your own. Handy for when someone is giving directions or a phone number... or being a total drunken slob and you want to share it with friends.

I noticed the same thing... although I must say I was very disappointed because my MM-5600 could use ringers from the memory card no problem. I think there might be sites that you can use to upload a file and have it download to your phone for free to be used as a ringer.

Ok... I shouldn't do this considering the answer to your question has been posted no less than 3 times on this forum... AND... you're posting your question about ringers as a response to discussion about transfering jpg files to the memory card... but since I'm stuck at work with nothing better to do... here ya go... I assume you have a program for cutting clips of your desired MP3. Once you have your mp3 the way you want it... ...

Re: A note about Sanyo signal strength indicators

For me, I notice the signal indicator is reading lower... and I have not noticed that much better reception than my Sanyo 4900. I was really looking forward to being able to use my mm5600 somewhere in my apartment other than sitting on the floor by the window, but I guess Sprint's reception in my area just isn't strong enough yet. So annoying when my friends on Verizon come over and can wander my apartment freely with full ...

Re: HELP! Question regarding miniSD (SD), PC uploads to phone, etc

I believe that message is supposed to be there on your phone the entire time you're connected. I connect my phone to the PC regularly. Each time, that message comes up and stays there until I finish my transfer and then kill the connection using Windows' USB device management menu. Have you tried going to "my computer" and looking for your phone on the drives list while that message is there?

Use the phone to format the SD Card, not your laptop. From the main menu... - Tools/extras -> miniSD -> miniSD Settings -> format. After you've formatted, select the next option on the MiniSD Settings menu for "create folders." If that doesn't work, the card is defective.

Have you tried using the USB device manager icon in the systray? Assuming you're using Windows XP, look at the lower right corner of the screen, by the clock. When you plug in a USB device a little icon comes up that lets you manage and stop a connected USB device. The "transfering files" animation on the phone stays there until you go into the USB manager and stop the connection. Then the phone should say "please unplug ...
