Second posting with no help! Storing pictures on My MiniSD card

I am having problems storing pictures on my miniSD card. I install them using the Mass Storage option and sending them to the DCIM folder under the Picture/100SANYO folder. Everytime i go to retreive them after they have been sent, i see "No Pictures in this Folder". What does this mean? Does the pic have to be a certain size, certain file type, or what? I have no clue and its buggin me. Please tell me what options i have in terms of getting high quality pics to my phone. Thanks in advance

Im assuming it cant be higher than 960x1280 which is the highest resolution setting of the camera. Maybe they have to be a certain file type like jpg instead of bmp for example, not saying that does will be supported. I haven't tried putting pictures from the PC directly the phone via USB but I will try when I get home and see what happens. Do you have Vision and PictureMail? The only other thing I can suggest is to upload files from your PC to the PictureMail website and download them to your phone from there. I have done that before and it worked out fine. The pictures site resizes them to fit in your phone. Hurry because they are offering Unlimited Uploads until April 1st, after that it will be limited to 30MB. Hope this helps. Sorry no o...

Well, the reason i want to put them directly on the memory card is to preserve as much quality as possible. Also, i would like to be able to use them as screensavers, and doing it through the upload to my albums method doesnt actually let you save them anywhere on yor phone, just to your uploads album online..

Yes you can. Once you upload it to your "Upload Album" on the pictures site you can in turn access the album from your phone and download them dirfectly to your phone which in turn will allow you to use them as either screen savers or picture ID. If you don't want to search through the upload album, once you upload all the images click on send multiple and click all the ones you want to send and send them to yourself. That way all the images you want come in one message.

I think the reason no one responded is because the answer you are looking for: "Guide to Photos" has been covered a couple of times. If you searched for "Photos" from the main forum area you should find some good guidelines and after you tried those, most of the forum members would be VERY willing to provide assistance.

No one is ignoring your post. Just a bit unwilling to keep answering questions they think have already been answered in the forum elsewhere.

Lot of good info here. Kinda hard to find it just sifting through the fluff. The Search option is the best way to find it. 😉

I've been trying for two days to convert mp3'3 to AAC or MP4 for ringtones. When on the sprintusers part of the process, I get a status that says the file is too big. My card is empty. I shortened the mp3 to 30 sec, too. What did I do wrong?

Ok... I shouldn't do this considering the answer to your question has been posted no less than 3 times on this forum... AND... you're posting your question about ringers as a response to discussion about transfering jpg files to the memory card... but since I'm stuck at work with nothing better to do... here ya go...

I assume you have a program for cutting clips of your desired MP3. Once you have your mp3 the way you want it... get a program to convert from MP3 to MP4. I used Quicktime Pro for my mp3 -> mp4 conversion. I also changed my extension from mp4 to m4a before uploading to focus. (If you need quicktime pro, you should buy it. If you're cheap, just google for a serial number and throw it into the free version of quicktime and it...

Thanks for the help. I'm new to the whole forum world. This site was recommended. I did see all the postings on converting. I followed all of the steps to the very end. I thought I did it all correctly until I got the message about the file being too large. I'm still not sure what I did wrong. I clipped the MP3, I converted it. I tried to upload. How should the extension look exactly? If I'm trying to upload Headsprung by LL Cool J. When I rename the file, should it be Headsprung.mp4? or Headsprung.m4a? I'm not extremely computer literate when it comes to that stuff. Thanks again.

I followed the directions to the letter. I think where I mess up is in renaming the file. How should it look exactly? If I'm trying to do Headsprung by LL Cool J. When I crop and rename, should it be Headsprung.m4a? I'm new to the whole forum experience so bear with me, please.
