Virtual Serial Port

My new 650 says I need to set up a Virtual Serial Port in XP to transfer info via BlueTooth. Can't find anything in the help files. Help!! TIA :?

:? Sorry for another release rumor, but I was getting a repair on a spare phone today and curiously asked the tech about the 8100. He rather confidently said "it will be out around Labor Day." Sounded believable anyway.

The v710 is one of my all time favorite phones and does all that you've mentioned very well. The main reason I am waiting for the 8100 is I personally prefer LG functionality and the camera is much better on the LG. You won't be disappointed with either the 710 or the 815.

I've noticed several posts inquiring about Treo 600's for sale. I have switched from VZW to Alltel and no longer need my 600. It's in great shape. Screen has been protected with overlays and I have several accessories. Let me know if you are interested! jscottpco@hotmail.com

Antivirus Problems

Has anyone else had problems with antivirus programs and their Treo 600? I have installed both the free version of pc cillin and paid (too much) for Norton and the both cause my phone to reset when I try to run them. :evil: Any suggestions?

I am in central NC, but the VZW service here is excellent. The problem is mostly situational and more of a dropped call problem. I can walk from one end of my office to the other (about 5K sqft) and drop a call every time. There are a few food stores that most phones won't work in as well. No problems now with any of these situation with my Treo. Solid as a rock. ...

I had the same problem with reception. I tried the stickers, extendable antennae, etc... they're garbage. Don't waste your money. I finally had to dump the phone in favor of a 6100, then Audiovox 9900 and finally a Treo 600. The Treo was the only one with better reception. MUCH better reception. No dropped calls which plagued the other phones as well. Good Luck!
