It's time for my VZW New2. I have a 700p. I can get a 755p or Centro for free. What should I do?

I have a Treo 700p with VZW. It's New2 time and I can get either a 755p or a Centro for FREE! Which should I choose, or neither?

In case it's not clear, I was referring to the Samsung i730 that was mentioned.

I tried looking for info on this phone but couldn't find it listed on here or on Samsung's website. Can you provide a link or more info?

My reception is already excellent in Washington DC. What else is changed that you would recommend I get the update?

I didn't even know there was a v3. How does one go about getting this loaded?

I don't think so. But is white really a color anyway?

Any more news on this? I recently got this phone so I must have version 2, because I can't "go to" either. Makes the calendar pretty useless.

Yes. Search for messages about "bitpim" or if you want to spend more money, you could buy DataPilot by Susteen or the Verizon mobile office softward. Any way you do it, you're going to need to buy a cable.

Menu 3, 6, 4. They sure buried that one in a funny place, didn't they?

As previous messages indicate, this is indeed a step backwards. Guess you gotta take the bad with the good.

Not sure why you'd want to, since the thing reflects and is visible in all but total darkness and whatever it tells you is available on the inside screen that you were just looking at. To turn the light back on, all you have to do is momentarily hit either side key.

Re: HOW TO BLOCK CALLS?? and/or go straight to voice mail
Oct 21, 2004, 5:42 PM
in the LG VX-4500 forum

According to VZW customer service, there is no way to block all calls from any particular number. I don't think the phone itself allows it either. Although it's not documented in the book or the phone, when you get a call and press either part of the upper side key, it will silence the ringer and send the call to voice mail after the usual number of rings. If you press and hold either part of ...

I think one way to get this is to activate driving mode. Push and hold the lower side button while the phone is closed or go to Menu, 7, 5. Or you can set the phone so you get audio response whenever you open the phone. (Menu, 7, 4, 1) Or else you can just turn on Voice Alerts. (Menu, 7, 4, 2) There are audio instructions at Menu 7, 6. Hope this helps.

Does the 9900 have something analogous to Driving Mode on the LG VX4500? If so, how does it work and compare to the LG?

DataPilot uninstall - HELP!
Oct 7, 2004, 9:48 AM
in the General forum

I just bought the latest version of DataPilot to go with my new LG VX4500. I had an older version for my previous phone and I had previously updated that version on Susteen's website to the latest allowed without buying a new one (2.8.7). Well, I can't install the new version, because it won't install until you uninstall the previous version. But I can't: When I go to Add/Remove programs, the uninstall wizard starts, but ...
