Re: Leave it to Microsoft
Yup. So it don't matter if Windows Phone isn't as much of a money maker. They still win. Ugh....I wonder if the Ubuntu phones will be the true Linux open source phones.

Re: I'd go with the L9
But the F6 has infrared remote! I'm sure once its rooted and all the bloatware removed, it will perform just as good.
BTW, have you figured out how to unlock the bootloader of the Optimus L9 P769 T-Mobile phone?
Bootloader
Question. Can the bootloader be unlocked?
Locked Bootloader for P769
Unfortunately, LG has decided to lock the bootloader and the only way to obtain the token is using UNLOCKABLE firmware which voids the warranty.
Easy enough? Nope....the official LG unlock method does not work on certain models shipped with Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Many users say it is hit or miss....that it takes several attepts. Others say that if too many failed attempts occur, the efuse gets blown making the device perma-locked.
Ultimately, it's your choice. If you enjoy a good challenge, ...
Re: Facebook is turning into a cult. Seriously.
Very well put, sir. I agree completely. Facebook has become an image gallery.
Re: It's called sarcasm
Daaaamn....I WAS only joking guys. Of course it's not designed to be a S4 killer...lol.
Galaxy S4 Killer???
C'mon HTC.....

Now you can poke your friends 24 hours a day.
Re: Not understanding
Not one of my FB friends uses the chat. Useless.
Re: No, thanks
If you want a good launcher, this does not seem like a wise choice. I can imagine the amount of resources it consumes to provide all of those services.
Go with Zeam or, if eye candy with widgets galore is your thing, GO/Next Launcher.
Re: Article neglects to mention Android 4.0+ is required. . .
Seems like Google is desperately trying for people to dump Gingerbread....ah, well. I'll be getting my Jelly Bean tablet soon and my upgrade is gonna happen later this year.
Poor Lumia Users....
"The base code used in Windows Phone 8 is significantly different from that used by Windows Phone 7." And that's why users of WP 7 will not be able to update.
I call BS on that one. Remember when they said the same thing about the HTC Wing not being able to run version 6.5? And xda made it happen.
What a Low Response
Only one review and no discussions. That is sad. It's ashame qwerty keyboard phones aren't popular anymore.
May choose this over the Relay
I'm almost to the point of smashing my still on Froyo Sidekick 4G. I've been comparing prices with my partial discount and this seems to hit the mark.
The Relay is just too expensive and it seems Samsung is pretty much ignoring this model too.
Sure, I'd love the Nexus 4...buuuut....once again...too expensive. AND hard to find here in T-Mobile Puerto Rico.
I'll miss the keyboard but at least LG has a history of awesome dev support over at Cyanogen and xda.
Any Other Devices Getting This Update?
For example...the Sidekick 4G? :-)...
Meanwhile...the Nexus S runs on Jelly Bean.

Looks Nice
I have to admit it. I am all Android...but the new line of Windows Phone 8 (Both HTC and Nokia) look impressive.

The last time I saw a bsod Bill Clinton was president, you really need to update your data.....I've been running Windows 7 on two different computers since June 2010 and neither of them has crashed even one time.....Windows 7 uptime can be measured in years...
Hahaha....I know. I have a dual boot set up using Windows 7 on one partition and Linux Mint on the other. They have come a long way. I just had that memory of ...

Plug and pray.
Wha?? No Sidekick update??

Re: Microsoft Excel on a 3.5 Inch screen
I wonder if they will make it a nice and hefty 200 MB.
Re: Ummm....Any chance yet for Gingerbread?
8) Check out the CM 6/7 Sidekick thread in General area at xda-developers. Awesome news! 8)
Re: Again.....
Hahaha....I'll stick with my Google Maps app from my SAMSUNG phone, thank you very much.
My brother upgraded to the new OS and was kicked out of World of Warcraft due to compatibility issues with his authentication app.
What a joke, rotten Apple.
Re: haha
What???....that piece of junk gets Gingerbread and my Sidekick 4G stuck with Froyo???
Re: Samsung's craptastic UI tweeks
Agreed. I have a Samsung Sidekick 4G and immediately removed the crappy UI in favor of ADW Launcher.
I'm hoping to get this device as soon as I get my discount. I just hope Samsung supplies at least one update to it. The Sidekick got forgotten in Froyo land.
Re: took long enough
Yup...same thing here. Samsung has yet to release Gingerbread for the Sidekick 4G. They are all the same, dude.
Too Many Force Closes and Reboots
The newer version of this browser makes my phone reboot. Switched to UC Browser.
Re: The Gold standard of ALL Smartphones hits it out of the park!
Isn't that the Galaxy?
Does Samsung Even Read These Discussions?
 Yeah, right.
No Thanks
CyanogenMod???
I have a Sidekick 4G and because 'ol Sammy refuses to release Gingerbread, I am not able to install CM on it.
I hope I don't waste my money like I did with the Sidekick.
