Is also why Windows has a better marketplace than Apple or Google. While not having very many apps, Amazon and Windows have the right idea. Allowing users to freely test apps before use makes sure that purchases aren't wasted or causing frustration.

Having worked for and been a customer of USCC myself not too long ago, I can assure you that their motivations were definitely not monetary. USCC is all about making things easier on the customer and giving them more options without complication. Besides, just because they preload the amazon app store on the phones doesn't mean you have to use it. Of all the carriers I've been with, USCC's bloatware is actually useful and definitely not mostly advertisement.

Looking at it from an outside perspective... it would either have been getting the SII now and waiting, or getting a lesser quality phone and waiting anyway. Personally I'd rather have the SII and wait than getting a crappy replacement "upgrade" and then still wait. Of course, there's always going without a phone for a while... which again, is still waiting.

Samsung's got a really good phone here...

tether said: I liked U.S. Cellular's prices and data plans before, not now. A contract is a contract no matter who it is with. I do respect when carriers will at least reduce it as you progress through it. Not sure what "rewards system" is or the overage protection/cap. Maybe they warn you by text or something when you get close to the limit? Seems any carrier should automatically do that for customers. The free ...
