Re: Yet Another "Plan"
There is a difference now. They actually have MONEY to do it this time. They have Softbank. The largest telcommunications company in Japan. I do believe that they will get it done this time. :)
Soooo
This is replacing Google Hangout or is it just called Google Messenger now?
Re: Because their Fire Phone is tanking
I agree. I have prime only because I get a student discount and the only reason I got it was because I used to shop frequently online. Once I started purchasing items that do not qualify for Prime FREE shipping I realized that its not worth it anymore. In the long run you pay less for shipping than the membership even with the discount. Plus Prime Streaming services are mediocre with the amount of FREE content they offer. For ...
Re: im confused
Lol.
Slammer was correct in his guess. It has to do with software issues on the LG G3... The Spark technology actually works very well where I am located (California) even in poor signal areas using S4, S5, and HTC One M8 models. A friend of mine has the G3 and I have to say he has had the same experience even though my other friends have perfect Spark signal and performance.
I am not a fan of the ...
Not bad.
I was impressed by the user interface, it was very clean and smooth. LG G3 came through with the software and hardware but the plastic casing on the phone just kills it for me. Time and time again LG almost nails the perfect phone but they have to miss something.
Nice try LG. Hopefully you make something more durable next year :).
If you buy this phone make sure you buy the best case you can or you'll be ...
Re: PDFs
To my understanding the phones come with adobe reader as a separate app. I don't have quick office on my Android and have been able to view PDF's since I got it via Adobe reader.
Re: And...
I have Tmobile right now and the coverage is superb in the city. I have had instances where I do travel to rural areas... However, I travel to these locations to get away from the hectic city lifestyle. At first I was angry that I had poor to no service in these locations, now I see it as a benefit. Why do I need to use my phone when I am in the redwoods or some other location where ...
Re: And...
I am having difficulty grasping the point you are trying to make calling ATT and Verizon BMW and Tmobile/Sprint a Entry level Chevy...
In some markets that would be the other way around. What he is trying to say is why would you pay so much for service you don't need. Data hog or not. There are a lot of service options out there besides just the big 4 that offer the same level of service specially if you ...
Re: So, Iphones get the useless app as well?
The reason is because their network is very spotty. They almost never work outside of the city, if you are indoors and don't have WiFi forget about making phone calls. If it wasn't for WiFi calling I would have dropped Tmo and paid more for better coverage.
Re: HTC One Mini 2 Freddy's coming for you
Sorta like iPhone, iPhone 3, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s. What's next? iPhone 6. iPhone 6c, and most likely the iPhone 6s.
Re: Copyrighting an API is insane.
I agree, this is getting ridiculous. Sigh.
Re: new design
Very true. I hate how the new Facebook Android app is exactly like the iPhone one. It sucks! ><
It is so glitchy. sigh. Even worse than before. Facebook for Android just keeps getting worse and worse.
FINALLY
Took them long enough!
Re: Good Luck.
I agree. But I also think it is up to us the consumer to take a stand. The price of something is based on the demand and how much the consumer is willing to pay.
Re: Turds and Trolls Out Today
Sounds like you don't live in a congested area and live near a metro area. Congrats on finding the best deal and carrier for you specifically.
Re: Turds and Trolls Out Today
Definitely not hating on Tmobile. Just stating facts. They have decent coverage in the city. Go outside of the city not even 20 minutes into a rural area and you have edge speeds... go inside your home and have no bars of service need to use Wi-Fi to place a call. How ridiculous is that? but a lot of the Tmo troops out there on this board are right. You get what you pay for. I have Tmobile simply ...
Re: Unlimited Data Now Most Expensive In Industry
Exactly that only happens with TMobile. Also if you were stopped that is because you were abusing your tethering.
If you are raking in more than 5GB of hot spot Tmobile will stop it and then charge you if you want to use it again after they have blocked it for excessive usage.
Other carriers won't notice unless you are using an excessive amount of data as well.
Tethering isn't meant to be your primary source of internet and if ...
Re: SD card
From the article.
"The rest of the slots for SIM and memory cards are buried under the back cover"
Re: Rochester, N.Y.
Very nice, do you have a Spark Compatible phone? My buddy out here in California is getting around 50mbps on Spark O.O
Re: Rumor says
I consider a feature a gimmick if it has no real world application. The Galaxy Series phones has a lot of useful features the only ones that are borderline gimmick are the "Air" features the Smart Play and IR Blaster are no where near gimmick.
I do agree that they could do a much better job with the Touch Wiz interface. However, if you are going to provide criticism it would be a good idea to follow up with ...
Re: Eventually...
Interesting thought. For your pro point #3... Sprints intention with this feature is to provide you better coverage for domestic use.
With Sprint they block your international roaming on your phone to help you avoid unwanted international rates. You must explicitly contact Sprint directly to activate that feature on your phone while you travel. At that time the WiFi feature would work but there will be additional international Roaming rates you must agree to.
Re: Will this work internationally?
The feature isn't meant for Roaming outside of the USA is what I am clarifying for you.
Also "international calls" implies both calling form the USA to another country and trying to use the feature while traveling.
So that there is no confusion this features only purpose is to provide enhanced voice and text messaging coverage in areas inside the USA where you would otherwise have degraded service for w.e reason.
If you are Roaming outside the USA or Call ...
Re: Will this work internationally?
Article on the Sprint website tagged on this post here on phonescoop clearly states it will charge additional fees for Roaming outside the USA. This feature is intended to improve voice calls indoors where it can be degraded due to building materials and other factors. This is not mean to give you free calls in other countries. I am sure the Tmobile feature works the same way. Except with their recent plan change where they offer some included international ...
Re: Will this work internationally?
This isn't your traditional VOIP feature like Skype it is a third party app that allows you route your Sprint call to your WiFi network so you can have a better indoor signal in case you don't have one. Just like TMobile. Their WiFi calling with Tmo and Sprint isn't designed to give you FREE calling outside of network use. Outside of the USA you would be using another carriers towers which would require an additional charge as the ...
Re: Will this work internationally?
Tmobile isn't wiping the floor with anyone. They are a company that is not concerned with their future as they have made it very clear they want to sell their assets to another company. It's a classic case of look good short term and sell high. They are in for a rude awakening as soon as their customers start defaulting on their payments with their no credit check installment options.
Re: Will this work internationally?
Its so that you can get a better signal for indoor use. Just like Tmobile and the WiFi calling that is built into their phones.
Re: Will this work internationally?
It will work similar to Tmo's WiFi calling in the USA. It will not work outside of the USA.
HUGE
Well done Sprint!
Question?
I have seen photos of those hubs and I was wondering (can't google at work); the "hubs" are they going to be spread out by carrier across the stations? Or maybe the better question is would the coverage footprint of all carriers be the same throughout the subway lines and would it cause any kind of interference or degraded coverage since there would be so many people in the subway stations at one time?
Curious to see how that ...
Re: Yaaaay?
Does that mean the Note 2? :3
There are small differences, the most noticeable is how Google now is available from the home screen instead of having to launch the app. However, everything seemed to run smoother. I tried it on the Nexus 5. Liked it but it wasn't a big change from Jelly.
It would be most welcome though :D
Re: I hope it Fails
I was an HTC fan ever since the HTC G1, been purchasing HTC phones until they decided to move away from expandable memory and removable battery. At first I was OK with the battery being embedded but then they got rid of expandable memory and that just killed it for me. Sigh. HTC is still awesome though the HTC One is a good phone overall, I just can't get over the fact it doesn't have what I need .x)
Hopefully ...
Re: I hope it Fails
I imagine the only reason Microsoft is merging with Nokia is for that patent portfolio and manufacturing quality of their devices. This is the best move from both Nokia and Microsoft for Windows 8 to flourish. I see nothing but good things for Windows going forward.
Re: I don't think so...
I like the app. I have been using it since it first launched however, it lacks some features and they desperately need to take care of that before everyone realizes that what they can't do on BBM they can do on other apps like Whatsapp for example.
Re: Bro's before ho's
Google Now will also help users set up these contextual relationships if they haven't already. You can manage that from your Google account settings or one by one by editing it from your Google Contact card.
Re: Super Bowl-EndPhone
Hahahahaha!!
Re: Sweet Baby Jesus!
WOW. I wonder what kind of specs we will see. I love the quality of Nokia with the Lumia line of phones. :3
Re: Come On, Really?
You are very right. Funny that it took this long for the court to make a very obvious ruling on this situation.
I wonder what color are they going to chose now? probably light blue? ;P
Hopefully...
They realize that they are not Apple and make phones with removable batteries and expandable memory like their original HTC devices that got them to best phone manufacturer a few years back.
Re: Surprised and Clueless
Absolutely. I agree with you. Thank you for providing feedback. Tmobile has got no real competitive future by themselves. All this talk from their CEO sounds nice but when it comes down to it the coverage even in the city is spotty, now that there are more subscribers their "Fastest" 4G LTE claim is all hype. My 4G LTE speeds went from 15-25mbps to 4-6mbps if I am lucky. When I say Lucky I mean if my phone can ...
