Question Re: RAZR V3c PC Synch capabilities...

Hi all, Anyone know if the CDMA version of the RAZR offers PC synch capabilities? The GSM versions (original V3 & new V3i) are listed as offering PC synch capabilities on Phone Scoop, but PC synch is NOT listed on Phone Scoops info list for the CDMA version RAZR V3c... Thanks! kega

PC Synch??? Does it really not exist?

in the Motorola RAZR V3c forum

Hello all, Running thru the list of features for this phone that are listed on Phonescoop's website: https://www.phonescoop.com/phones /phone.php?p=767 It does *NOT* list "PC Synch" as one of the phone's capabilities? Can that really be true? Or was that just an omission? The original GSM version of this phone can synch with your PC's calendar, contacts, etc. Anyone know for *certain*??? Thanks & cheers, Kega

I dropped by the Verizon store in Costa Mesa today & the reps working there claimed sometime next week they would be getting the Nokia's in... Of course, in the past these people have been horribly unreliable (Verizon's sales people in their stores seem to be a universally uninformed lot). The good news is that today when I asked them about the Nokia 6256 they had at least actually "heard" of the phone & are claiming it ...

Yeah, didn't Verizon just get served with a class action suit over that??? I thought I heard about a class action suit based on false advertising taking place in San Francisco regarding their crippling the bluetooth functionality & then advertising it as "bluetooth capable..." Anyone else hear about that? I would think that would make Verizon think twice about crippling another phone. kega

I think the V551 is the best phone in town for you then. It doesn't have issues like the MPx220 has been reported to have. Also, so far all the early reviews on the V551 have been positive, but you might want to wait a week or two until more come in, only 4 have been posted as I write this... Hope that helps. cheers, kega

sdgeiger said: I'd go with the V551 before I'd go with the MPx220. Ditto. Almost as many features, but so far no bad reviews & the bluetooth ain't crippled, i.e. the bluetooth on the V551 allows voice dialing thru a bluetooth headset. The only other option would be to wait for the Nokia 6255i or until they fix the V710 (don't hold your breath on that one...) cheers, kega

MobilePhoneJunkie, Thanks for the review. :) Btw, the MPx220 was getting mixed reviews last time I checked. Plus, voice dialing is not supported thru a bluetooth headset for that phone. You might want to consider the V551. So far the reviews seem pretty positive for that phone, but it just came out and there still aren't very many reviews to judge by either. Good luck! cheers, kega

Actually, I had "good" information. I posted that question in the Cingular forum & found out that Cingular did indeed used to sell their world phones unlocked. They stopped it after they put into place some international roaming agreements so now they can lock the phone to them & charge for roaming overseas where they couldn't do that before...
