Contact birthday only goes to 1971...

I just got my w810i and am filling in all my contact's info... Tried to set a birthday and found that the year doesn't go lower than 1971! It rolls over to 2070 if you go down one more... Has anyone else seen this happen? Gonna be hard to add birthdays for folks older than 35! Guess they figured only youngsters would be using this phone, eh? :)

Interestingly, I have the v551 and my daughter has a black Razr v3, both from Cingular, and her camera takes better looking pics than mine... I'm actually considering upgrading to the Razr because of that, as well as the cool sleek look of the phone. re: battery life- My daughter's Razr tends to run down the battery much faster than my phone, but she also txt msgs much more than me which could account for that difference. I can go ...

Thanks... sounds like Verizon just wants to force you to use their .25/message service and make more money off of you! We'll go with the cable route and see if that will work.

Well, that just sucks... So there is no way to get the pics off the phone without hacking it? :( Guess you just take the pics and keep them on the phone forever... Geez, that makes a lot of sense Verizon! Thanks for the info, Paul. I don't think we'll try the hacking tricks since the phone is issued by my husband's employer and not ours.

I'm not the original poster of this question, but I do have the same question. My husband just got the E815 through his employer but we cannot figure out how to transfer the pics he's taken to the computer via Bluetooth. I have a Motorola V551 and can do the File Transfer via OBEX without a problem, but his phone seems to only want to let him connect a Bluetooth headset... Is this a restriction placed by his employer in some way ...

Hmmm... Guess I have to go out and get one of those cables. I should be able to pick this up at any Cingular dealer, or just any wireless store that carries Motorola phones, right? Thanks for the advice!

I don't have a lot on my phone, but need to know how to save as much of it as I can... I've got a v551 that I am sending back to Cingular because it has a problem with the audio. Quite often, I can only hear when using the speakerphone option, even though my volume is set to 7. I know I can save all my phone numbers to the sim card, but what about other settings, ringtones, ...
