I don't own one of those digital converter boxes... but I imagine it works like any other set top box... if you connect by coaxial, then you will need to put the TV on channel 3 or 4 for it to work. If some TV stations are digital and some are still analog, I can easily see people getting confused as to what to do to watch different stations.
Actually, All channels will be viewable on the DTV Converter ...
Classics
They need to add a Classic 3220 to their line up. I miss that phone.
STOP BASHING!
Can't we all just get along and stop treading negativity through these waters of econimic crisis. For crying out loud! If your own lives had lead you to employment with someone who was constantly being bashed (Wal-Mart, Sprint, etc.), then you would be tired of hearing everybody bashing on everybody else just because they don't meet the expectations of every single consumer in the USA! Seriously, people. Grow up and make educated comments, or don't comment at all!

Sprint is bad!!! Try calling their customer service and the fun begins !! It's called the indian transfer game!! Call for something simple such as a esn change or a feature change and they say I have to transfer you to someone else and then you get transfered only to find out that the next rep is going to do the same thing so after this happens 3-4 more times in the call I get a little upset ...

If you hate the service, then hate the service. Go buy an Iphone or Sidekick or enV and enjoy yourself. But keep the ignorant comments to yourself. The lives and well-beings of actual people are impacted by this and nobody is amused by your crap.
Damn right!
Re: Sprint isn't that bad
I have to agree with BradQue.
Re: They should have
People don't need the coupons to buy the converter boxes. I've sold plenty to people without the coupon (at WalMart).
Re: KICK ASS
Give me a reference, I'll follow up, and then you can quit being disrespectful. And to follow up, Apple's relationship with AT&T is only for 5 years. I don't know about Sprint's or Verizon's contracts with Palm or RIM, but the existing contract for iPhone on AT&T is only for 5 years (Which expires around June or July of 2012). No contract made is "forever".
Re: Do they actually think the government cares???
They don't want to push back the date. They want the original date to keep. They support the original date of Feb. 17th

Sprint has full and complete exclusivity!
Not Necessarily. Phones are only licensed for a set period of time with any one carrier. if after the original contract (usually 6mos - 2yrs) any phone manufacturer wants to license their phones to other carriers, they can.
Spam is as Spam does (TV Commercials too!)
So I have to ask, are television commercials Spam? We don't ask for them. We spend our hard earned money to PAY for a SERVICE that we ENJOY and USE on a daily basis with television. So stop your complaining!
Re: This is another point from AT&T
Read the canspam act.
I did. It only applies if you don't have an existing contract or relationship with the marketing entity. It also says that in the event you do have a pre-existing relationship, an opt-out must be available to you to utilize. This is definately the case whereas AT&T customer care must opt you out of direct marketing notifications if you request it. You can also do it for yourself for spam from other premium content you may ...
Re: This is another point from AT&T
i dont think they would do that. They would send an E-Mail out to E-mail address or send a letter in the mail saying American Idol starts tonight, dont forget to text your vote later on in the season.
Yeah, Ok...... right.

It's the only primarily GSM network. Everyone else is moving on to HSPA like GSM is outdoor plumbing.
HSDPA is Data, and is still distributed through the GSM network. Without GSM/UMTS, HSDPA wouldn't work (Until specific HSDPA towers are built)
Re: This is another point from AT&T
I agree with htimsabbub23. AT&T isn't the problem. As an employee (Third Part, of course) I can vouch for the fact that you can call in and request that you not receive Direct Marketing notifications. I did this when I subscribed to AT&T (Before I started working for them). It isn't only AT&T who do this, they're just the most prominate ones because of American Idol. I also oersonally don't like the Idol programs, but I don't sit here ...
Re: How many times?
It is annoying, but just like unsubing from a text service, you can also unsub from most email spamming as well. We just don't want to take the time to do either.
Re: The American way - I want it for nothing, damn the consequences
Sure, it's sad to hear of another well known American chain going under, but it happens. I remember places like The Warehouse (Music & Video), Tower Records, Music Plus , Lucky (Grocery Store) COMP USA, & loads of others when they closed their doors for good. People don't attribute their demise to discount retailers. They went bankrupt because of bad or obsolete business practices in a growing economy & not changing with the times. You don't hear about discount ...
