Your negativity astounds me.
Since I actually use Windows Mobile, I'm not at all surprised by the negativity.
CDMA version?
Anyone hear when this thing will hit Sprint?
8530 vs 8520?
Anyone know if the 8530 is the same as the 8520? Want to get aftermarket parts for it and I've heard conflicting reports in whether there are minor differences in size, etc. between the two.
What is the 8520, anyway?
SIM slot NOT unlocked?!?!
wtf? All reports say the GSM part of this phone is UNLOCKED, but that just aint true! /;|
I tried an AT&T SIM in the slot and I can't get around the requests for a SIM number the phone keeps asking me for. The same SIM works fine in another phone- and no SIM password was required to use it in that phone (an AT&T branded Curve)... just no go in the Intrepid.
I inputed the ...
Upgrading to WinMo 6.5
Any idea how to do an upgrade? Over the Air or via PC Sync?
And whether 6.5 will make the TP2 run slower or otherwise affect performance?
Does HTC make Sense?
So what, every time Android upgrades its OS, were gonna have to rely on HTC to do its thing with Sense before we can enjoy the next version?... And Sense makes Android OS sluggish? Isn't Android going to drop 1.7 soon?
Seems like including a proprietary element like Sense defeats the purpose of Android...unless HTC offers free Sense upgrades as fast as Android evolves.
Re: Nope
Guess i was mistaken. could have been mixed up w the TP2. thx for the 411
What no Quadband GSM?
I thought this was gona have it. Is Phonescoops info just wrong?
Re: Why no Android 1.6
my source is Phonescoop. (check the "info" tab).
Why no Android 1.6
This ships with Andy 1.5... is the Doughnut gonna be auto updated when it drops, can I d/l the update from the unit itself, or do i have to interface it with my home computer?
Anyone know how easy/complicated the Android interface is as far as sync-ing with a desktop?
Can I use this with AT&T/Cingular?
The specs on this thing say it supports GSM 850 (but not 1900). Does that mean it can be used as both a GSM and CDMA device in the US, or can Sprint do something to block GSM functionality in the US? My goal is to have both so theres always service- just pop the Sim in and no worries.. right?
Re: Prius of the Mobile World
The material its made of is another thing i love -makes it a lot lighter than other phones. i hope someone makes some decent cases for these things, because i was waiting for the TPro2 to drop, but the more i read about it, the more i think im sold on the reclaim.... the 1/2 duplex speaker of the reclaim versus the TPro2s new kick butt speakerphone mechanism still irks me tho!
Prius of the Mobile World
This reminds me of the Prius in that its got a lot of the more advanced features you'd find on a more expensive model come standard (subsidized?), but the packaging gets in the way. Why cant they offer this in silver or black too? Its features are strong enough so that Id buy it regardless of any corny :) 'save the planet' kick. Overall I dont know if its worth hearing all the commentary like ...
Re: How to Make Samsung ACE SPH-i325 go on standby for both cdma and gsm phones
ME TOO! I have Sprint and want to use my AT&T SIM card in the ACE so I can use both lines w/o carrying two phones. Does anyone know if I gotta flash the GSM part of the phone to use my AT&T SIM?, or will it work out of the box.
If anyone knows how to accomplish both GSM and CDMA in one device -short of gluing two phones together :) Please let me know. ...
