I absolutely love the 8100. the only problem I have with the phone is the camera sucks. I tried other people's suggestions (like put it on a lower resolution) But it still has a huge delay. Which sucks. But I hear that it will be fixed with the version 5 update. But who knows when the update will be released.

Some of the USB cable's are combination chargers/computer cables.
It should be fine as long as you unplug your phone when your done using it with your computer. I've heard that leaving them connected for long periods of time will kill the phone.

After the update and buying the extended battery, my phone lasts days! I've been using the MP3 player, watching video clips...oh yeah and using the phone and I haven't charged the battery since Saturday morning. The phone is still showing a full battery. This phone is awesome! :twisted:

No, you will not have to change the extensions to qcp. You leave them as MP3's.
There is no internal memory for MP3's. You must put them on the MiniSD card.

I would wait and check out the Samsung A90. I have the LG VX8100 and love it and probably would love the Samsung too. The only flaw to the 8100 is the camera. But you can work around it. standard battery: 191 talk.
extended battery 250 talk.
Certain features(EV-DO,MP3, etc.) may use more power and cause actual standby and usage time to vary.
The extended battery is slightly larger and if bought through VZW & LG it comes with the battery cover.

The reception on this phone is great. It even worked in Lake Tahoe while I was vacation. My friend who lives up was surprised because usually only Sprint phones work. Go figure?!

The Jabra 250V worked very well for me. The Motorola HS-something was good too, but sometimes it would sound like I was in a tunnel. So I returned it and I have had great luck with Jabra.

I am open minded. I'm in this forum to research things like adding MP3's (.qcp) and adding ringtones (with QPST).
The Moto E815'ers are like blah, blah I returned this, it sucks....blah blah.
Who cares? Good you don't have one anymore, enough said. Go share you CONTINUIOUS complaints on the E815 forum. (which you shouldn't even be worrying about the 8100 because you DON'T OWN one.) I'm sure they'll agree with you and give you mad ...

I did have both. I returned the E815 because it was cheap feeling and the phone was for more uptight boring people. And I guess I wasn't wrong about that, after all you own it.

In any browser window go Tools->Folder Options->View->and uncheck the box that says "hide extensions for know file types." Then go to your MP3 and click on it like you are changing the name and at the end of the title delete the .MP3 and replace it with .mid or .qcp. Add them to your miniSD card and play them thru "My Sounds". It's really easy! :D

When information on this phone was released and phone scoop posted the specs, everyone on this forum got all antsy to get this phone.
Everyday there was a post "release date?" or "I talked to Verizon today and...." blah blah blah.
VZW never promised 512mb of memory or an MP3 player. Phone Scoop did.
VZW nor LG ever said that the phone wouldn't have some minor issues (which are being worked out) And what phone doesn't have any issues? Check ...
