Question about music files & GPS

I've downloaded an album from itunes. It shows the file type as protected ACC files. Will these play on the 8400? Also, how well does telenav work on this phone? Thanks in advance.

'turning off'

Ive had the SCP 8400 for 3 months now and am overall very pleased with it. However, sometimes when I close the flip, my phone shuts off. When i open the flip it takes about 3 seconds for it to 'jump start' itself without me having to press anything. Does anyone experience this? I notice it mainly does this when there is no signal. But should it actually turn itself off?

New Icon Showing Which Makes No Sense.

There is an icon which has recently showed up which I can find no reason for. In the icon glossary it says “New Voice Data”. “This icon indicates you have new voice data (screen call ) waiting.” I have no voice mail waiting. Alerts are empty. I’ve checked all of the messaging categories. Nothing! Any ideas?

landscape display

I keep reading on various websites that the display can be landscaped for a wide screen view while watching Sprint tv. I haven't been able to find any documentation that shows how to do that and can't find any instruction on it by searching the web. Does anyone know if this is infact possible and if so, how?

Gray Screen of Death

This morning my phone had blank gray screens on both the inside and outside. It was as if the back light was on but there was nothing on the screen. None of the buttons would work. No sound was made when the charger was plugged in. Calls to the phone were not detected. After three or four hours I had joined this forum to see if this problem had been reported. I found nothing. Then I picked up my phone to look for something and it was back to normal just like nothing had happened. Weird! I guess this is just FYI.

Does anyone know of an on-line users manual for this phone?

External Battery Charger for 8400 Batteries

I have 4 batteries for my phone (got a really good deal on OEM batteries so I grabbed them) anyway in the past you could get a desktop charger for a phone. I am not all that interest in a desk charger (though I would love to have one) I AM interested in the "other half" of the desktop charger. IE every one I have ever owned also allowed you to stuff an extra battery in a slot to charge it as well as your phone.

IE I just want that charge space battery function. SO the charger does not have to be for the sanyo 8400 as long as its for a phone that uses the SAME battery and has this extra slot to charge a second battery ??

Any suggestions ? what other sanyo phones use this battery ? thanks!

SCP-8400 and Jabra BT8010

I was wondering if the BT8010 works with the SCP-8400. I'm sure it would work with the voice but I was wondering about with the media player. I perfer to unwired always and it gets on my nerves to change from the wired to BT ear piece thru the day. I think this product would work well for me but I don't want to waste my money if it doesn't work the SCP-8400's media/mp3 player. Thanks in advance.

I brought this phone on Saturday and I have been trying to access the on demand but I can't get past trying to enter the zip code. I called Sprint a few times and they where not able to help but they made me complete reset my phone which is not that much of a problem. Except that I can't get my Sprint Theme back is there anyway I can retrive that as well. Thank you.

Card capacity

Does anybody know how large a microSD / TransFlash card this phone work with? 128mb will not be enough for me. Sprint is telling me 1 GB is the max but I wonder if they're giving me a "safe answer".....

Hi, 2 quick questions. Please help.

Hi, everyone. I have 2 questions before I purchase the scp 8400 tomarrow...

1. Can I receive calls when I am using the mp3 player function?

2. Can I use the phone to plug into my car stereo via 2.5mm jack and while doing this will it play songs with the phone closed?

Thanks for the answers/help. I really appreciate it. Matt
