SCP-8400, bluetooth and BMW ULF

Hi,
Did anyone tried to make this phone work with integrated bluetooth module in a car?
I have BMW325 with bluetooth module (ULF). I can't make this phone work with it. Yes, I checked and doublecheck settings. It pairs fine, but can't make phone calls nor pick up phone calls. Did anybody has experience with this phone and bluetooth enaibled car?
Thanks in advance

8400 facemasks

Any word on when they are going to be making more of these? I know that the phone was just released, so they won't be available yet.

I remember seeing something about these face masks being the next big thing in Japan for their cell phones. There was one with legs and horns. You could set it on the desk and it looked like a bull, then you could just open it up and use it like a regular phone when you needed to. I think the legs and horns folded up so that you could put the phone in your pocket. Looked cool in the presentation.

White 8400

I read on Sanyo's website that the white one comes with a lavender faceplate. Does anyone know if this is true or where I can find a picture of it? Has anyone seen the white one in person? All the pics I've seen of it, it looks really close to silver.

The New Sanyo 8400 Looks sweet !

😁 Sanyo gets it every time.
The upcoming 8400 looks very sweet.
All the complaints that I see here in the forum seem pretty pathetic.
Sanyo is #1 in JD Powers and produces the most well made and long lasting if a bit unglamorous cell phones.
If other companies made phones like this, we would all be talking more and complaining less.
Go Sprint!

Does the 8400 have a green backlight?

I just wanted to know if the keypad lights up green just like the 8300, 8200, etc, or does it have a blue backlighting?

i figured since it is a new phone it should be blue

So dissappointed!!!

Just got the 8400 in today and boy does it look CHEAP!!! Looks kind of like the 2400 with a camera and feels like the Motorola C290. What a piece!!!! I am soo dissappointed.

Missing Features....

I've been waiting for this phone to come out. I'm happy to see bluetooth and from the pictures it looks like you can actually watch videos on the external display now.. I'm not trying to be picky either but it's missing two things the MM-9000 had which I liked, 260K color display. Also where is the Speaker Independant Voice Dialing? On the Sanyo site it said up to 30 entries only. That sucks because Speaker Independant Voice Dialing works well with Bluetooth. What's wrong with you Sanyo?!?!?!? That would have been the perfect phone for me... ☚ī¸

I Heard A Rumor

I just heard today that they have pushed back the release of this device for another month (slated to be out late October) I was just wondering if anyone else has heard this news? I have already seen accessories for the 8400 at most Sprint stores. If anyone has info on this rumor please just let me know.

P.S. Is it really true that they are including the memory card with this device? If so this should be one hell of a deal for only $100 with a 2 year agreement!

Thanks

Staid...

I don't know about anyone else, but I think Sanyo should put this overall design to bed. They've looked alike for far too long.

Verizon gets the 8600, and we get..

...this.

I like Sanyo, I really do. I had an 8300 for several months and it was a great phone. Ugly, sure. Lacking key features I have since taken for granted? Yes. But a a phone it was great.

This looks to be the same sort of situation, except with some features that finally bring Sanyo phones firmly into 2005.

Why the same aesthetics, though? Christ, that keypad so damn ugly. Would it have taken that much more money to invest in a better keypad, or a better screen?

Sorry Sanyo... you are late the the party...

This is just another Sanyo rehash (using the same form factor and button layout) that FINALLY adds Bluetooth. Sorry, but the Bluetooth onslaught hit Sprint last year with Samsung and LG leading the pack. Now with Moto hitting Sprint in a month, Sanyo is gonna be in DEEP trouble...
