Sony Ericsson W810

I was wandering if anyone has tried using the monster cable wireless fm transmitter. Using the FM transmitter, we should be able to play music from our mp3 player and hear it through the stereo in our car. AND it plugs into the cigarrette lighter, so if could even possibly charge the phone as well. Someone let me know if they have used the transmitter. The model is MPC FM XMTR. Thanks

please let me know if it works cingular block the ports of treaming player and y can connect to the server but wont play the video y try in LG cu500 and works fine but i want to if a debranded phone will works ..

I'm trying to decide to stay with Sprint or migrate to Cingular. I like both the Sony Ericcson W810 offered by Cingular and the Sanyo SCP-8400 offered by Sprint for different reasons. One of the things I like about the Sanyo is the PictBridge feature. According to Phone Scoop the W810i doesn't feature PictBridge. Does any knows if the SE W810 have something within the accompanying software that allows you to move pictures back & forth from phone to computer?

Get a ringtone maker on the internet(some are free, some are like 3-15 dollars). YOu can make your own ringtones. As long as the song clip is under 45 seconds it will work as a ringtone. I was lucky to have friends at cingular and my phone was not locked out of any features. I have the ability to play full songs as ringtones.
Also, got to sonyericsson.com register and you can download free tones, games, themes as well as much more. Just be aware that if you do download them your ringtone will not work untill you go and reselect the same tone. Thats the only pain in the butt i have found with the themes. ........

I heard that it takes a long time to download mp3s through the cable. I want to get a 4 gig card, and I read that you can just drag on drop mp4s onto the memory stick without going through the program, or through a card reader. The question is, is it possible to put the songs in playlists or anything without using the sony software? Can you just make folders on the memory stick and put specific songs in those to act as playlists, then just have the rest of the music on the main card folder?

Also, when i get one, i want to be able to plug it into my car stereo, i have a JL cleansweep that will take an RCA connection, what kind of connection is on the headphone adapter that plugs into the phone? RCA or mini jack?

well if you go to your adress book, recent calls, or almost anything in the menu, while talking the backlight turns off after like 3 seconds!!!

this extends your talk time A LOT.

Does anyone who has an unlocked w810 use this program for yahoo and msn?

Is it just me or am I having a hard time trying to delete this ringer? It seems to be protected. MobyExplorer doesn't see it neither can windows when I connect my phone under file transfer. By far this has to be the most annoying ringtone compared to Sanyo's Chicken Ringtone... 😡 .

I have searched the forum found a few ideas but could someone please help a dummy out and explain step by step what i need to do to put videos or movies on to my phone.

😕 Ok. A lady at Radio Shack told me that if I went on myspace and dowloaded songs stright to my phone and they are a bad file my whole phone will fry! Please some one tell me if this is true. Thanks.

so yea to make it easy, just make a shortcut on ur d-pad to like your adress book or watever and just press it right after your call is connected =D

I just got this phone. It is unlocked and I am using Cingular with no apparent problems other than downloading games and ringtones. I went on the Cingular site, sent a game to my phone and I go to download it, it goes online, I click "Accept", I get the hourglass, then it says "Operation Failed" I called Cingular, they tried sending me a different game and a ringtone, I can receive these from them into my email, so that part is working. It just won't download into the phone. There was no MEdiaNet in my configuration folder so they had me create one. We went over it a couple of times to make sure everything in there is correct. Still no luck. Any suggestions?

The phone comes with an adapter to use standard headphones on the phone. I've used different headphones other than the ones that come with the phone with no problem. Today I brought in a pair of portable Sony speakers (the cheap $10 ones from Walmart, so nothing fancy) and they won't work with the phone. It still plugs into the standard headphone jack on the adapter so there should be no problem. Still, as soon as I plug the speakers in the music stops playing through the phone speakers and just doesn't play through the normal speakers.

Does anyone know why that would happen? Do I have to buy the special speaker set specifically for the phone? Is there perhaps a different brand or model of portable speakers anyone else has tried wit...

I debrand my w810 today and the IM are not configured someone know server address for IM hotmail

I have been reading a LOT of phone reviews and the one thing that I always see people complain about is if a phone will not allow you to use a complete MP3 song as a ringer. My question is...why would you want to? Do you plan on letting your phone ring long enough to hear the song play? It will go to voicemail way before it's done anyways. That can't be it. There has got to be another reason why people want to use full MP3s that I'm just not seeing. Sorry for the dumb question, but I honestly don't get this one.

hey, i was wondering if you upload themes to your phone memory, or the memory stick duo...or does it matter?...i uploaded a theme to the stick and it seems to work fine, but is there a difference between uploading to either option...any help would be appreciated...thanks

Tried to set a birthday and found that the year doesn't go lower than 1971! It rolls over to 2070 if you go down one more... Has anyone else seen this happen?

Gonna be hard to add birthdays for folks older than 35! Guess they figured only youngsters would be using this phone, eh? 🙂
