some phone & MP3 questions

I heard that it takes a long time to download mp3s through the cable. I want to get a 4 gig card, and I read that you can just drag on drop mp4s onto the memory stick without going through the program, or through a card reader. The question is, is it possible to put the songs in playlists or anything without using the sony software? Can you just make folders on the memory stick and put specific songs in those to act as playlists, then just have the rest of the music on the main card folder?

Also, when i get one, i want to be able to plug it into my car stereo, i have a JL cleansweep that will take an RCA connection, what kind of connection is on the headphone adapter that plugs into the phone? RCA or mini jack?

Also, its the data cable...

I say get one through Cingular and leave it the way it is, or if you have to have the unbranded version, get it debranded.

1. Depends on your heavily on your PC configuration. I could go more in depth but the list is long...
2. Its a SE type connection but SE does make an RCA attachment and a FM Broadcaster
3. The Phone and Cable are USB 2.0 compliant
4. You'll need a Theme Creator program which can be found here: http://www.myw810.lasyk.net/W810i/Software/ has both Mac and PC versions.
5. You can easily transition from listening to music to answering/making a call. the phone comes with an inline headphone/microphone.

Thanks so much for the information!

Im glad to know about the headset having a mic, that is so cool you can be listening to music with the earbuds in and just pick up a call. Is the person in stereo?

Thanks for the theme creator link too!

would you mind talking a bit more about how you make play lists? and if you can do it with folders without the walkman software?

I haven't noticed if the person is in stero, But I think all phones regardless of the codec are all monotone...

As far as playlists I haven't messed with mine since I mainly use it as a phone rather then a music player since I have too many Ipods... but as far as loading music into the phone it would look like this: PHONE CARD (H🙂 H:\Music.

I fiddle around with the play lists later on, I like my RDS radio feature.
