Is it worth getting if I don't.....

Is it worth getting if I don't want to pay an extra $50 a mo for Verizon's data services?

Regular or Ultra Mini SD

After reading various spec sheets for the Q, all I find is reference to "Mini SD Memory" If you were buying one today, would you buy a "Regular" or an "Ultra". Price is not an issue. 😕

Wifi??

Will the Q work with the internet if I buy a mini SD wifi card? Will Verizon allow this, or will they charge me?

VZW B2B Rep: "Q is NOT coming to B2B before B2C"

I just spoke to a rep at the B2B call center.
He told me they just found out that the Q is NOT coming to B2B customers before on-line customers.

He said the Q will be available on the following dates:

On-line sales: May 31
In Stores: June 5th
B2B Customers: June 5th

He did however say that the B2B customers will get a lower price than the B2C customers (even lower than the on-line price). The actual price depends on your corporate contract (my company has over 1,000 lines with Verizon - so there will probably be a significant discount)

I'll probably wait the extra 5 days for the better price... but figured this was good news for all of you B2C customers who are dying to get the first ones off the line.

Good luck!

Looks neat but not a good deal for me

I just got to see what the Q will look/feel like. Man it is pretty cool, but I don't think that I will be buying one soon. I would love to buy one retail and simply do an esn change to put it on my current plan but from what VZW said it doesn't work like that. You can't use your plan minutes to access the web, e-mail, etc. You have to have a data plan, which I can't add to my family plan. So for people like me it doesn't seem to be an option.

Some questions on upgrading...

Few questions on Verizon's upgrading service. In general, are the phones/PDAs in the upgrading section the same prices as the phone's retail price? Also, I've had the Samsung A950 since September...am I even eligible for an upgrade? Does the upgrading price ever drop?

Most importantly, has the Q's upgrading price been released? I'm aware the retail value is $419.99, does that mean it'll be the same price to upgrade?

The replies are appreciated

TETHERING AND BUGS

1)Can this phone be tethered to your PC like the Blackberry?

2)How long should one reasonably wait for the first set of bugs to be worked out?

Someone do me a favor please

Here's the situation:

If you are not eligible for an upgrade and you do not have insurance on the phone, Customer Service can approve %25 full retail of a handset. PDAs are excluded. But this is classified as a smartphone.

Can someone call *611 and ask if the %25 off will be applicable to this handset. I just want to see what the representative that you get tells you.

Thank you.

Q Coming soon now on B2B

"Coming Soon: Motorola QTM
The wait for the world's slimmest smartphone is almost over!"

If you have a corporate agreement follow the link from your extranet and sign in under employee discounts.
This is floating around on the B2B website not on the VZW or VZWSHOP version. See what happens tomorrow.. somebody was right about the 31st May and 5 June dates let's hope that 24 May for B2B holds up.

Third Part Support

Hi. I've never purchased a locked phone before (after having both the p800 and the p900 on t-mobile), and I was just wondering about the kind of third party support that this phone would have. More specifically, will I be able to download programs like AIM, AOL mail or games that are not officially endorsed by verizon? Furthermore, about the pricing on the EV-DO service (which I'm assuming is the only way to access internet on this phone), how much do you think it would cost a month through about average use in terms of AIM (if possible) and E-mail.
Thanks in advance.

V710 return help

I just left my local VZW store to buy my replacement phone and they told me that I can not buy it there. They told me I would have to get it on the website. My deadline is next week, so I'm REALLY pushing it as far as going through the website.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can do this? Can I purchase it online on Verizon Wireless' regular website and pick the phone up at a store? Is there any other info that I can bring back to the VZW store so I CAN purchase my replacement there? It would really suck if I can't claim my settlement because I was waiting for the Q.

Shipping times from VZN on the east coast

I plan on ordering the Q as soon as its posted on their website. Does anyone know how long it would take till I see the package via Fedex. Fedex is usually fairly fast, even for ground.

Any experiences?

thanks

won't the q battery life suck like a razr

given the thin size of this puppy won't its battery be similarly bad as a razr or 700w?
