Is there or will there be an AIM (AOL instant messenger incase anyone didnt know) app available for windows mobile 5.0? this would be a great way of communicating without incuring text messenging fees

well if ur using the aim from GIN (get it now) then u will be using text messages. If your using data then ull be charged data through the web.

I relaize the get it now aim will cost me but i was wondering if there was actual aim mobile software i could download to the Q and then use it just like on my home pc and only have to pay for eitherb the data package or possibly a mini sd wifi card and that way be using aim like you do at home... anyone know?

gin aim is not available thris phone does not support gin

A third party package called IM+ supports all the major networks. You have to buy it. I am assuming it will work on the Q as it does not depend on stylus operation, but you can check out their web site.
