CAN'T DECIDE

I CAN'T DECIDE BETWEEN THE SAMSUNG MM-A920 OR THE SANYO MM-7500. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE RECEPTION ISSUES WITH THE SAMSUNGS. I AM ALSO CURRENTLY USING A BASIC SANYO PHONE WITH NO COMPLAINTS OTHER THAN THE LACK OF FEATURES...(CAMERA AND RINGTONE CHANGES)

saving photos to transflash card - help!

I've taken a couple photos and saved them to the transflash card - BUT when I copy them to my computer (via SD media reader), they can't be viewed. I get a message that the file may be corrupt... any ideas why they won't open on a PC, but are viewable on the a920? Thanks!

SD memory card

Just tried the expandable memory card out, I removed the micro card from phone and inserted into the adapter, inserted adapter into my computer that has a built in SD reader, the device was shown on my desktop I clicked on it and it showed me the *Media* file that was created when I first inserted the card into the phone. Then I simply copied music from my music folder in my computer to this folder, put the card back in my phone and WOW. This feature in it self make the a920 stand out over a900 to me, now when I'm on the go I can listen to my favorite tunes which is GREAT! I just got this phone so I still have the 32mb card, but can't wait to upgrade so I can put lots of music on it. it's like having an ipod nano and phone in one :-D. The sp...

About the Bluetooth...

This phone does not let you do FTP transfers like CptFarlow said, If this is a necessity just get the a900, BUT I just got this phone and I can do the main things I wanted to do with the bluetooth, and that is to *sync my with my laptop to update contacts* and to *use a bluetooth headset*. If you are new to sprint and you need bluetooth, but not FTP, and you need to see if it is compatible with cars that have bluetooth, I would reccomend trying this phone out to see if it does, then maybe post here whether it does or not.
My laptop is a macintosh, with version OS X 10.4, I was up and syncing as soon as I got the phone which was a very easy and fun, but if anyone has ...

Voice Dictation & Ringer IDs: Owners of this phone - please reply!

Hey everyone! I have a couple questions on this phone. First, there's no mention on this site whether this phone has "Ringer IDs"....I find it hard to believe that it doesn't but, could someone confirm that for me? Also, this site mentions that this phone has "voice dictation" which, I assume is the same as "message dictation". However, the Sprint site doesn't mention this. So, I just want to confirm whether or not this phone has voice dictation. And, if it does have this feature - I'd like to know how well it works. Any info you guys can share with me would be appreciated! I walked away from Samsung's a few years ago, and this is the first time I've reconsidered! Thanx! 😎

Caller ID Question...A-920 owners PLEASE reply

I recently bought a Samsung A-920 and i love it. But, whenever i get a call, the caller ID shows "California" above the contact's name. It shows it whether or not the person calling is set in my contacts. I checked the settings and there was nothing that gave me an option to remove that. Have any of you guys experienced this as well? With the A-920, or any other phone? Is there ANY way I can get rid of it, because its VERY annoying.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

synchronizing contacts

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has experience synchronizing contact list from pda to this phone. I have an HP Ipaq 4150. I want to make sure that synch will work before I buy this phone. Also, is it possible to sync phone book of this phone with Outlook? How easy is it ?

Thanks

Reception Question! Please answer ASAP!

I am hopefully going to be purchasing this phone this evening or maybe tomorrow, so the sooner the responses the better!

How is the reception/antenna power on this phone compared to others? Forget the fact that sprint may be good or bad, but how does this compare to the Sanyo's? I've had the VM-4400 the past 2 years and it's worked great, but I want to upgrade to the latest and coolest!

Some reviews give this phone 5 out of 5 stars, and most reviews are good. However, there are some complaints about reception, so if you own this phone and have had good or bad experience, I'd love to know! Thanks!!

OBEX ?

This phone and the other new samsung for sprint both say they support the OBEX bluetooth profile. I was under the impression that sprint didnt support OBEX, so this means i can connect 2 bluetooth phones and swap files right? like pictures, now will that work from a cingular phone to this phone? let me know please.

New Customer for Sprint

I am on the Verizon right now. I am changing carriers due them bashing us with their lousy phones and deleting features from the phones.

Anyway. Just asking.

1. How have you been satisfied with Sprint?

2. How do you like your phone, the mm-A920?
(I am consider this phone and Sprint service.)

Thanks.

service / no service / service/ no service/ service / no service

I just activated my A920 last night and a few times while I was playing with it the phone would find service then it couldnt..flashing back and forth for about a minute. It was weird. Meanwhile, my trusty Sanyo 8100 was sitting there with full service.

Could this be a result of just activating the phone??? OR perhaps I was playing with features and something affected the signal?
