Reformat from Telcel

I used to travel to and from Mexico fro work/leisure, so at the time it made sense to have a phone from Telcel. I have really gotten comfortable with the phone (LG F9100). Now I don't travel so much, and have Cingular as a provider. I got an unlock code for the phone, so now I can SMS and make phonecalls, but cannot configure the IP address for Cingular. Can anyone help me?

Any recommedations for Bluetooths for Samsung A930?

Now that I have had my Samsung a930 phone for a couple months, I am ready to get a Bluetooth headset. This is real new to me. A couple months ago, some forum users said some sets were incompatible with this phone. Any recommendations for which Bluetooth works well with this phone? I notice that the prices for Bluetooth sets on ebay run from a few dollars to way over $100. What is a good price point for a headset? Are the cheap ones any good? Thanks.

T-Mobile Compatibility

Hi, I am thinking of buying this phone on ebay. If I use it with T-Mobile, will I be able to use the T-zones web service on this phone?

downloading games to the lg f9100

Anyone know how I can download midlets to the lg f9100 using the data cable? Or what tools I can use? I have tried the LG F9100 USB-Handset Manager and the LG GSM utilities but seems like they only allow downloads/syncing such as ringtones/melodies/Phonebook/Schedule/Memo. Any clue would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Wanting one, but...

I tested this phone out for about a week or so and i didn't have any problems with the door not latching but i've heard alot of people complain about it. Is this a HUGE problem? I really want this phone but i won't buy it if it has this problem. So has anyone else had this problem?

Display Question

I have the LG F9100 and like it. I do have a question that I can't figure out on the phone

Cingular is my provider and right in the middle of the display it says "Cingular". This covers up my background and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I've dug through the menus and can't find it. Any Ideas?

IM: only 30 buddies

Anyone notice that when you use the IM on this phone- there seems to be a limit of 30 buddies? Is that a Cingular limitation or an LG limitation? Confused

Vibrate

There doesn't appear to be a "Vibrate" only Audio setting for this phone. Sad That's pretty weird- and no "silent" feature only. Why? Rolling Eyes

Despite the low features, how is quality?

Ok, we all know this is just a regular phone... sorry no camera or bluetooth. After all is said and done is it a quality phone? how does it feel? will it open when i dont want it to? does it seem to big?

if anyone has had a chance to see one yet, of course...

The buttons on this phone feel cheap

I was just playing with this phone at Cingular. It feels cheap and low quality. Nokia and Motorola make much better quality phones.

BLUETOOTH!!

Bluetooth would have saved this phone. Many business professionals are not allowed a camera on their phone but want bluetooth. This could have been the perfect combo.

Yahoo messenger?

So my Yahoo messenger on the 9100 won't connect to Yahoo. It just times out. My AOL works just fine. Don't use ICQ so haven't tried it and I can't find any info on the CW client or the Future client.

It's not a huge thing for me because I use the WAP Messenger when I want to use it but was just trying it out and I've been getting this message for two days. Of course, Cingular is clueless about the issue.

Any ideas?

Opinions on the Phone

I'm going to stop baggin' on the self-proclaimed "pimp" for a little while & talk about the PHONE. After all, that's what this forum's SUPPOSED to be for anyway.... Smile

My store got a couple of these things in a few days ago (AT LAST). It took way too dang long if you ask me. I must say that I am impressed with the phone. I don't typically go for LG's but this one seems ok. I don't care about BT or cameras since I'm getting a S710a whenever they come out. I'm tired of hearing people moan about the lack of such features. The speakerphone is good quality - not quite what I'd expect of an SE, but definately better than a Nokia or Moto. The display is really sharp looking - nice & bright too. Factory installed ringtones suck, as the...

Keyboard limitations

You can't use the keyboard for text entry on the Internet? I just can't believe it. I keep thinking I'm doing something wrong. it works for the address book and for text messages. It works for the IM clients but not for the Internet?

If I'm doing something wrong someone please tell me what. Everytime I open this thing while on the Internet I get "close slider" and there is no way to access the Internet from the menus when the slide is open.

This is a limitation that might actually cause me to give it up for the a630. The no Bluetooth was disappointing but I can live without it but a castrated keyboard? I'll see over the next few weeks.
