Ok, we all know this is just a regular phone... sorry no camera or bluetooth. After all is said and done is it a quality phone? how does it feel? will it open when i dont want it to? does it seem to big?

if anyone has had a chance to see one yet, of course...

My store has them on order & should receive them soon. Once I can get my hands on the real thing I'll post here with my analysis.

Unfortunately, no. I found out that the ignorant dolt who does the ordering for my store decided not to order any of this model because he just doesn't like the phone!

I think we should carry it. I wouldn't buy one, but since American Idol is trumping it up like they did the Ford Focus a couple years back, its only a matter of time before people start asking me for it.

I got the phone a day or so ago... It's a good phone missing features of course... The reception is great, full bar no matter where I go so far(Im in the chicago area). The downloading on the internet for ringtones and all is very quick, quicker then my mpx220... Overall it's a good phone, I wish you could put ringtones for each contact but that can't happen... The ringtones are a little hmm what's the word, icky, not so good, compared to previous phones but nothing that is gonna say I cant have it I need to return it... The size overall is good, but I got a treo 650 and I think that size is fine, so... haha... AIM works great on the phone, and the respond time is actually really quick. Any other questions ask me, i'll try to get back to che...

So you cant have different ringtones for different people/groups? how about the contacts, can you put email address, and AIM screen names in the same contact? i am also concerned about the keyboard sliding out when you dont want it to?? has that happened to you yet?

Didn't even look at that, you can set group ringtones, still that sucks... I want personal ones... And no I haven't found anything wrong with the sliding part so far. It's been fine with me, never sliding out... But then again I never sit down with it in my pocket I always take it out, and I put the phone in my jeans on the side and not the main pocket so.... I don't know... 😕

That Z500a sucks. It's big and somewhat bulky. It creeks when opening the flip. Call clarity and reception was fine in the DC Metro area. The one I had would crash and I'd have to remove the battery to get it to come back on.

Someone has posted a review and states that the flip out keyboard slides out when you don't want it. Also, this person came from using a NOkia 6800 to this. Maybe he/she might shed some more light on the quality of the phone.
