Nokia 6255i / 6256i

hey im considering buying the nokia 6255i. I just have a few questions that i hope can be answered about it. i dont really kno much about mp3 players...all i kno is that you can download songs and it can go on the phone..exactly how many songs does it hold? and does it cost extra or anything to use this service? and also, i was thinking..wouldnt it like run the battery down to use the mp3 player? i just wanted to kno these few things before i purchased the phone..thanks 😁

The Cell South exclusive is to protect from any big companies to get the phone for two months and smaller companies will still possibly get it during the 2 months of exclustivity?

Has anyone synced the phone to a Mac? Were there any problems? Does it have a data cable or only Bluetooth?

...... How long does the outer display stay lit after pressing a button? 15 seconds? Also, can you set the inner display to stay lit as long as you're on a call? What are the options for main display lighting? Thanks !!

I have a question about the ringtones. I want my callers to have different ringtones. I would like to use some of the music that I have downloaded on my memory card. Do you have any helpful hints as to how I might be able to do that?

I mean it, this is with ease twice as loud as any phone I have ever used before-- I hadn't taken any calls off the bluetooth or without being on another call until this morning, it rang-- and I nearly jumped out of my desk-- It is F'ing LOUD. 😲

I suppose that is good though, in the past using any setting but the loudest for daily use was not realistic... I've not got mine set on 2 of 5 and its about as loud as my 8900 was all the way up.

How many of you are planning to get an MD-1 Music stand?

I was wondering if anyone has tried out the 6255 and the PC Suite software from Nokia's website. If so, how well does it work and how easy is it to transfer pictures, songs, ringtones, etc.

.....does the outside screen stay lit all the time? I'm hoping so. I hate having to press a button to check my signal strength / time of day / etc. Personally, I'd take a black and white outer display that stays on over a color display that doesn't. Thanks.

Called Cellular South and they said the phone is $399 for no contract. I thought it was supposed to be $249.

Well, where are they? I thought today would be full of 6255i critiques from Cell South users.

I just spoke with someone in one of the local stores here in Jackson, MS and she said that they had the phone. In fact, she is holding a phone for me.

Cellular South will be the only company to have the 6255 for the first two months. If you don't believe me here's proof.

Looks like we got to it first.
