LG VX-6100

US Cellular currently has the VX6100 in testing. Will post once testing passes & release date announced.

Does anyone know if the 6100 has the call screening function that the 6000 had? It worked like an answering machine so you could listen to your v-mail and decide if you wanted to answer or not mid-message.

Also, is there a way to set the phone to vibrate, not manner mode?

Anyone know or heard about support for Mobile IM clients? MSN is not available on mobile web, nor is the Mobile IM client available on my 6100. Any ideas???

My boyfriend and his father both have the motorolla v60. it has a similar charger as the vx6100, and both of them complain that after about a year or two of use, the charger fails to connect to the phone to charge it. has anyone had similar problems with the lg's of the same charger as the 6100?

I like the looks/style of this phone over the 9900. My main concern is the stub antenna. Does this phone hold signal as well as the 9900 in remote areas. We go to the UP of michigan and I don't want to be without signal in the boonies. Also, how does mobile web look on this phone, and is the camera close to the 9900.

This whole phone thing has been so f'ing ridiculous. I talked to a woman tonight on the 800 number to find out that the phone was being released TODAY to my Washington DC office, but that I can't do all of this stuff and I have to go to a store to get the phone and do the NE2. Last year when I tried they said they would send me the contract because they understood that the closest verizon store to me was an hour away and for a college student thats a long way to go. the store near me doesn't even know what the phone is, and the second closest store to me is in north carolina, and I cant do jack you know what there because thats a different region. sooo I guess im just never getting the phone because by the time i am back in northern va durin...

i was looking to buy this phone but then i saw there was no missed call reminder... does this mean if i dont hve my phone with me and someone calls it wont tell me they called??

i got this phone yesterday,is there a way to use the speaker phone with the flip closed without a head set using the driving mode,and also the message alerts for tx and voicemail are so low you can barly here it the 6000 was so much louder any way to fix that

does anyone else that has this phone have a problem with a sensitive mic? when I barely breathe near the phone people think I have serious respitory problems because my breathing sounds so loud.

Anyone know where I can get a usb data cable that works with the lg vx6100? All the ones i have seen have the round connection which is not on on the 6100

i cant find a price on it anywhere i dont want to get it though the internet though and its usualy cheeper on there i was wonder what it would be at radio shack or a verizion store?

Anyone know when this is going to be released in the michigan?

It's about freakin time! I've been reading everyones reviews on this phone, dreaming about switching from cingular and today the time has finally come. Buh bye crappy phone and crappy cingular, here we come verizon and lg vx6100. Ah happy day to all.

I just got my 6100 today...it's like christmas in October. I love it! Anyway I tried to send a text message and it didn't want to send the message. So I went to contacts, options send txt message, typed the message, and tried to hit send. I could go back in forth to where I enter in the phone number, and the body of the message, but when I'd hit the send key, or the left soft key to send, it's like it didn't recognize it.

I rebooted the phone, and it seems fine now. Something to keep an eye on for sure.

Everything else seems great!

After reading all the posts on various forums I decided to switch over to Verizon and was waiting for the VX-6100 to become available. I finally received the phone today and I have to say that I love it! Unfortunately as I was about an hour into the phonebook entries..having entered about 45 contacts,the "0" key started intermittantly working. If I press on it directly it will not work...I have to press firm and slightly off to the right. All the other keys are fine. I can get it to work if I press very firm and directly down. This is the first phone I have bought since an old Nokia 6190 when I was with Pac Bell... 🤣 Anyway...I called Verizon and they are sending another new phone right out but just the same it is kind of a bummer. these are just my opinions, anyone is welcome to disagree. my wife and i got aud 9900's two weeks ago. after about a week i couldn't stand the single holed earpiece and how lining it up on my ear made a huge difference in earpiece volume. it appears others don't have the same issue, so i guess i'm oversensitive to it. the 9900 then also started making horrible plastic creeking sounds when you put any pressure from your face on the upper half. i was out. i guess i'm just spoiled on my T-Mo moto V300 - an incredible phone in both construction and performance (i'm told v400's on cingular are the same). why can't Verizon get a similar model??? ok i'm drifting off subject already. my 9900 had to go back, went for the 6100. my wife decide...

i have a question for someone who has the phone..i have the LG Vx4500 now..i dont know if you've seen how big it is..but i was wondering..looking at the specs of the 6100 its longer than my phone and i wanted to know like actually when you get it..is it really long that makes it ugly cuz a picture i saw of it made it look reallly ugly and big...just wondering..if ya could write back - thanks =)

any reps here that know when this phone will be available in northeast PA? i contacted verizon and they said that they know just as much as I do and they don't know when the phones are released for security reasons. any help would be great.

Called my rep today and she confirmed they are in and ready to ship. They picked up my 9900 yesterday. At the last minute this morning my wife, who had said she wanted to keep her 9900, said she wanted the 6100 too so all our chargers,etc were compatible (i think she was also starting not to like hers the way i did mine). So we have two coming tomorrow, totally free. Her 9900 wont be picked up until monday so I'm actually gonna have both here and I'll try to do some side by side comparisons and pass on any info here.

By the way, we are not Verizon 15 day trial period abusers. I had my last phone(v60) for 2.5 years without a single issue/return. I was just severely unhappy with my 9900 and have high hopes for the 6100. If I gotta li...
