LG VX-6100

If someone is using a headset with a pushbutton on it, I a have a question for you.
If you press the button while the phone is idle, does it activate voice dialing? I think it might be like the 4500 where it does not. Using the 4500 with a pushbutton headset allows you to answer a call, redial a call and hang up a call by pushing a button on the headset.

when all of you ordered your phone, did you get a tracking number? and if so, how? I ordered mine today but there isn't one, I guess it wasn't shipped today, but I don't even know how I would know if it was. Where can i find it?

Hello I was in a store today and they had the 6100 on the wall live to play with but are not allowed to sell it untill the 25th which they only received 10 phones so they will go quick. They already had car cords and leather cases but no extended bat. From what I saw and from the time I played with it it looked cool the specs says it has Pic ID but I didn't find it on the phone.Strong Vib mode as always with LG has flashing led between red and green when incoming call just to mention a few things hope this helps

Just wondering what you guys are paying for the 6100 with new every two? I had gotten the CDM9900 for $0.00 shipped but returned it. Since it looks like the 6100 is avail now in the northeast I'm gonna call my rep tomorrow to order it. Just wondering what to expect her to say. No rebate on phone orders right?

Does anyone know when the 6100 will be available again at Verizon. I should have got it when i saw it on the website.

I have to ask for a comparison. I returned my 9900 to see this phone. I like the 9900's screen, call quality, and battery life. Plus you didn't have to worry about hitting the buttons on the side. I didn't like the phones size since I have to carry a pager as well. I missed the v60 button on the side to voice dial with a headset on.

How much user memory does the 6100 have? I'm mainly concerned with the amount for storing pictures (and also how many it can hold), but additional info (brew apps) would be helpful as well. thanks

Can some one who has this phone tell me if any of the ringer choices just ring? (similar to a landline ring) May sound boring but I just like a nice loud non musical ring like some of my friends have on motorola.

Well just like the title says the text message alert is really quiet I cant even hear it if it is on the table right next to me. Now I am used to the 4500 which was plenty loud. Does any one know if it can be increased? I have tried adjusting the ringer volume and the speaker phone volume but neither makes a diffeence.

One of the things that has kept me from getting a Samsung is the way it handles the address book and speed dials. I'm hoping the 6100 does things differently. Appreciate any input.

In the Samsung address book, you can't have the same phone # assigned to more than one person. That's a real pain if you have multiple contacts at the same company.

Even more annoying in my mind, you can't create multiple speed dials for the same contact. In other words, I can't have my wife's work and mobile numbers both on a speed dial unless I create seperate contacts.

Any comments?

for those who have the phone--is it possible to assign voice activeated dialing to each of the numbers under a particular contact, or can you only assign it to a particular contact, and it will always just dial that contact's default number?

I know that a way around this (if the the 6100 can not "dig" past the default number) is to just make a new phonebook entry for each number of a contact, but I prefer to have all numbers for one person under one contact heading.

Well, I just got my 6100 about 30 minutes ago and its really nice. I have a 6000 and a 4500 and now I have the phone that has combined those 2 and as a plus, added tri-mode. The phone is great. Anyways, if anyone wants proof that the 9900 is discontinued then let me know. I have a picture on my 6100 that I took of the phone on display in my store and my manager has a while supplies last sign on it. But back to the 6100, I will post more in a couple days and write a review as well since there are some people that want reviews done.

😁 If anyone is interested in this phone, you can call Verizon at 800-922-0204 to order it. I was considering going to the 8000 model, but might get this phone since it is much cheaper & smaller. Not sure yet though. It's not showing on their website, but the rep said it is $149.99 with a 2-year plan & you get a $50.00 mail-in rebate. That's actually the same price as the 6000 model is on their website! Just wanted to let everyone know they are taking orders!
