Motorola MPx220

Is there any way to use custom ringers. I have mp3's or wav's or whatever it needs. But where do i put it or what file type does it need to be?

I just got a black unlocked MPX 220 from ebay with 1.47 version ROM. When I inputed my working SIM card it warning that the SIM is FULL. After I pressed done, there is NO SERVICE display. I could not make or receive any call at all. Anybody has solution for this? I used to have MPX 200 but hate it. The only reason I get 220 this time cause I thought they fixed all the bugs the 200 had. And I have tons of softwares and games for the phones. Please Help! Thank.

I've had my mpx220 for only a few days but cannot get it to bluetooth with my bluetooth laptop. I think it has something to do with the com ports. Motorola tells me that it needs com ports 3, 6, or 7 due to my software, but those com ports are already full on my laptop. Does anyone have advice on this or can lead me to software that will open up more than those three?

Hey guys i recently been having problems with my activesync when it connects it says attention required so i click on the resolve issues and all it says cannot be synchronized, disconnect and reconnect, has anyone had similar issues if so how do i fix it, i had this same problem before and i fixed it but dont remember how i did it.

Desk top charger for extra battery for MPX220.

Where should I order from ? I want to Have a spare battery charged.

I was at work and messing with the phone and did a active sync and it did just that. It sync all of my email contacts. I dont want any of them there. Is there a way to remove them at one time or to delete 300 entries one at a time. It is a unlocked phone with all of my contacts on my sim card. Thanks alot for the help.

Is there a program that I can install to lock programs or files like PHOTOS, EMAILS, ADDRESS BOOK ( CONTACTS), TASKS on the phone like I could on my V600. On the MPX220 I only have one lock, the lock will only lock the comeplete phone. I cannot lock each item separate like I could on the V600. Also can I copy my address book ( contacts ) to my mini sd card ?

haha...i feel stupid for even asking this. i found some cool wallpapers the right size for this phone but um anyone wanna help me out as to where i put them so i can set them as my background. all i need is the correct root. thanks alot

I have an MPx220 w/ver. 1.43. After having difficulties with pairing, I have master reset the phone and followed the motorola instructions to a tee. I cannot complete the pairing process with an HS820 bt headset. The phone recognizes the headset and prompts me to enter the passcode. I have entered "0000", as well as "1234" and "4321" (per instructions from motorola tech support). The phone gives the following message:

Your Smartphone did not connect with HS820. The connection failed or the passkey is incorrect.

- and can either one view actual web pages or are they restricted to only WAP pages?

I just received my MPX220. I installed CE that I have received with the phone, put my SIM card from the old phone to the new one, but when I try sync the data from my phone to outlook...NOTHING work!
What should I do?
P.S. When I go to outlook and write some contacts it does syncs from OUTLOOK to the phone, NOT the other way around!

Just upgraded to 1.43 today and can not get my Motorola bluetooth headset to work. All was working before but now the device is not found. Any advice??

Hey all. I got a Samsung T809 and was REALLY let down. I'm going to return it and have been salivating over this phone (MPX220) for a while. I'm a previous RAZR user, so I have a couple questions I'm hoping that some of you owners can answer.

1. Any loss of features on the unlocked phone? I am a tmobile user, so my phone will have to come from ebay unlocked.
2. Any wierd phone quirks? Shutting off? Dropped calls etc?
3. Do the Roms lock the phone to a specific carrier? I plan on getting the best/most stable ROM update once I get the phone, but I don't want to inadvertently lock my phone to Cingular.
4. I heard that the voice dialing doesn't work for bluetooth - has anyone trying with any of the newer roms? Voice dialing is software dep...

I'm looking to upgrade to the MPx220 and was wondering if anyone can tell me if you can open excel spreadsheets with this one. Either as an email attachment or on their own through the pc.

Is there a setting in the phone to determine how many rings before a call is marked missed? My MPX220 seems to mark calls missed after only three rings.
