Samsung SCH-A670

I just switchd to verizon from at&t... and picked up the a670. I use my handsfree a lot while so I wanted to make sure I got voice dialing.

Here is my annoyance, with my old t68i, the earpiece had a answer/end call button. Therefore you would not have to touch your phone to answer (or open for flips). Also you just had to hold down the earpiece button to then do voice dialing. Again, never having to fiddle with the phone.

Verizon store says that no earpiece for samsungs have this answer/end call button on them. This is crazy. So I still have to fiddle with my phone to make a call, answer a call, everything!

Has anyone found a source for an extended life battery for the A670?

is there any way to brighten up the front display on the a670? bc my dad cant really see the time that well and he wants to know if there is any way to make it brighter..we tried changing the contrast or whatever it was but he said that didnt really help...so if someone could tell me if there is ne way that would be nice..thanx

I am recently new to this site. I just want to say that I think it is great how everyone helps one another out. Who needs the owners manual with you guys and gals out there. My 670 will be here today. Can't wait!! I already know how to use it thanks to all of you. Keep it up. Thanks again

I followed JStewartx and Monk's advice (I've tried sending at least 5 ringtones with eringers.com )but the ringtone never reache my phone...I've sent it through vzwpix and made sure it was turned on (the veriz. cust. service told me it was) but nothing reaches my phone...am I doing something wrong?

well i have been researching this phone for a while and asking questions. I want this phone really bad, but now i have the choice to either get the a670 or the lg vx6000...the only difference is that the lg vx6000 can play riingtones that sing but i think i can live without that...so i just need another opinion on my choice..so basically there is absolutley no way to get singing ringtones? just polyphonic?

i was just wondering what would happen if i lost the little plug that is suppose to go into where the charger plugs into the phone? is it bad i don't use it all the time?

Big Dilemma - i have a 8900, but vzw has given me clearance to get a new phone; so i heard today august the 710 will be coming out, today i was going to go get the a670 but now will hold off; any opinions on which is better? if i should wait for the 710? i have a mac and bluetooth would be cool, but cant really use bluetooth for much...

I had just purchased my A670 when I realized there was nothing showing up on the front display, Should the clock always be on the front or does it dim out sometimes also!?

do u get a certain amount of free ringtones when u get the phone? (that r actually like those ringtones where the person is singing or w/e)

Is it possible for me to say, buy just the phone off like ebay? and then get a plan..or do you have to buy the phone with the plan? cuz i wanna get this phone but i realized i can get this for soo much cheaper if i get it off of ebay...

I just got my 670 yesterday. I've been trying to read a text message; but no matter what key I push, only the first half of the message is displayed. What am I doing wrong?

Also, is there a way to get a ringer notification when you have a voice mail or text message? Or an intermittent beep like my old Moto120?

can u have ne thing besides a clock on the front display? and if there can only be a clock, can you either have a digital clock or a hand clock?

I bougt the SPRINT VERSION. Then i had a guy i know unlock it. Took sometime to get the MSL code but he got it and the phone works PERFECT and its TRIMODE (signal works perfect and stronger than my OLD SLIDER PHONE)

Came with games built in. The design of the A680 na dhte A670 is different......A680 better battery life!!! and lighter!!! If you notice the A670 has a speaker on the front flip for RINGER...the A680 does not have it there. There is a big difference to the 2 in my eyes.

I read it is possible to listen in while someone is leaving a vm and choosing to answer or not. I can't seem to find the directions. Anyone know how it's done?

😢 I have volume on 5 and still not able to hear the ring from 10 feet. Any suggestions?
