IM Programs

Does anyone know of any real good IM programs for the BB Curve? I saw the $49 DOLLAR one on crackberry.com but I don't want to spend money on that. I talk on AIM/iChat and MSN. Any suggestions?

IM Client

Jivetalk seems to be pretty cool. I am pretty attached to my sidekick and I've been looking to get rid of it. But, I wanted something that had the same programs. Finally I came cross this program and it seems like its going to help myself pry my juvenile sidekick out of my hands.

The BB does have that AIM download but its like the regular cell phone AIM that only supports up to 30 of your buddies and it shows a cell phone icon by your name. Jivetalk makes the experience as if you were on a desktop. You can set away messages and go invisible, see icons set your own icons

The price for the license starts at $19.95 but if your skeptical like me and know in the future there may be incidents that may cause you to get a replacement phone you...

need a little help

i previously had the voyager. When i got the 8330 i took out the micro card and put it in the BB. For some reason though all my music/sound files are all mixed up when i try to play it on the BB. And...for some reason I cannot use the video function at all on my phone. Does this make any sense to anyone? Im afraid to format the card because i have had this memory card for 2 years and I dont want to lose anything on it, and I like being able to switch it from phone to phone as I get them? Any help would be appreciated.

Desktop Manager

Is anyone having trouble working with the Desktop Manager for the Sprint Curve. I loaded the progam on my hard drive but for some reason the program doesn't see the phone when I plug it into the USB port. The computer detects the phone but the Progam won't. What am I doing wrong? ☹️

Voice dial and TV problems

Blackberry Pearl (8100), Curve (8300), 8800 and 8830 World Edition Support
Problem:

Every time I launch Voice Dialing the application freezes on the "Initializing..." screen

Solution:

We are currently working with Research in Motion to analyze this issue. In the meantime, there is a workaround that may clear the problem temporarily for you. Try the following:

• Power off the phone and remove the battery
• Wait 10 seconds, reinstert the battery and then power on the phone
• Once the phone is powered back on, press the Voice Dial launch key

If this workaround does not work for you, please help us by Opening a Ticket and providing the following information from your phone:

• Phone software vers...

Question about @aol.com email on BB curve for Verizon

Well I'm having a problem with my aol email account everytime I send and email it sends me a message right back that says my message was delivered to receipient, well I check under the settings for that account and it displays as follows

1. Confirm delivery- Yes
2. Confirm read - No
3. Confirm read receipt - No

I always thought confirm delivery was like a copy of the email I sent out so I always left that setting alone, just like the sent message copy that displays after you send a text message, anyhow I would really appreciate some help, if it is that confirm delivery setting then I will change it to NO ? Sorry if this topic has already been brought up. Thanks guys

Verizon fixes VZ Nav

Just called Verizon and asked if they fixed the VZ nav. They told me to type this address in my browser: http://solutions.vzwshop.com/vzstart/bb8830/
I know it says 8830 but it works. Just click on VZ Nav download and wala. Good luck 🙂 Also there is a download for AOL, Windows Live and Yahoo IM. I just downloaded it and it works.

Figures employees have to wait....

I work in a contact center and we cant just go to a store and get a phone, we have a separate website we have to go to to order phones, and of course the Curve is not there for us to order.!!! 👿

Verizon user's for Curve

Wanted to hear from any Verizon user's that already have the Curve on wether or not they have been having any memory issues with it. I know that the internal memory of the phone was increased but wanted to now if anyone has had any issues with the device deleting text messages and email when not using an sd card. Also is the video capture able to work without the sd card inserted? Previous blackberry's, like the pearl, were not able to. Did the increase in internal memory change either of these scenarios? I am getting the Sprint Curve when it comes out and wanted a heads up. Thanks.
